vanilla cap *2 = 380k ish + sp from yesterday = 570ish

i logged in to 350k bonus sp for the week remaining after playing some games yesterday

In other words, you won't miss out on earning any extra skill points from the Triple SP event if you hit your weekly cap this Wednesday.

Should be interesting to see as well then as I played for around 50k yesterday myself. Nice way of tricking us if so (tbh I don't get it why they just wouldn't start a new round of 3x at a reset instead)

It seemed like a simple enough equation: 3 x 190k skill points less what you earned Wednesday. That's what we should have had after downtime today.

I calculated that you already got your boosted skills for yesterday. Seems like the SP accrued yesterday was multiplied by 3 times already when you logged in.

This makes sense.

So why is CCP Eterne acknowledging that it not working as intended.......

You still did not present any numbers regarding of how much SP you had before you started to play yesterday, how much SP you gained yesterday, and how much SP you have currently.

since it effects what everyones bonus SP is, you WILL have to take the servers down to fix the issue

the more you stall the worse thigns get, just take the servers down untill you sort this crap out

It depends on what the problem with the cap is. It might not be something that needs to have the server taken offline to resolve. I'm not one of our database guys though, so I'm not going to speculate on the root of the issue or what might be required to fix it.

3 unintended changes so far according to Wolfman and Eterne:

1. Mass driver splash radius increased
2. Strafing increased for other reasons
3. Triple SP Cap is broken

We have no idea how to fix it. We can propose solutions, but unless those solutions offered can be translated into bug-free code for them to plug in, it's just words on paper.

And i suspect that the softcap is still at 1000SP per match and is not affected at all.

just reset everyone cap...clean the slate 600k cap reset and be done with it....

Option 2: Use you alt on Wednesday because you anticipate, irrespective of what Dev's have said, that there is a more than likely possibility that something will get messed up, and the 3x SP event will not go down smoothly. log in on thursday with your main character, and enjoy 3x sp event.

(especially given this Games past history with accidental mishaps affecting the game experience). i saw what the Dev's were saying about the cap not getting affected, but i just took the side of caution because quite frankly, i was skeptical. it turns out now that skepticism was well placed, but i do understand the frustration of many on here. i hope CCP can fix it in time so you all can benefit from the 3x cap.

Hey CCP, you know if you had just added 380,800 (2x 190,400) to everyone's SP cap, rather than doing a 3x remainder you never would have had this issue?

Instead of multiplying the cap, why not just add to it? Flat increase for all.

I don't really care what happens I just want it fixed immediately.

if the devs say something they should follow through, plain and simple. it's not hard to brign the server down for an hour or two, and set the sp cap too X amount they do it every wednesday systems are in place.
