It seemed like a simple enough equation: 3 x 190k skill points less what you earned Wednesday. That's what we should have had after downtime today.

Did the OP check how much SP is in his pool? He never mentions anything regarding that.

You still did not present any numbers regarding of how much SP you had before you started to play yesterday, how much SP you gained yesterday, and how much SP you have currently.

As I said, we're looking into the reported situation with the cap. Hopefully we won't have to take down the servers to fix the issue.

It depends on what the problem with the cap is. It might not be something that needs to have the server taken offline to resolve. I'm not one of our database guys though, so I'm not going to speculate on the root of the issue or what might be required to fix it.

They wont take the servers offline, it'll affect all the eve players who are home on the 4th playing.. so no way we're seeing a fix today.

Not sure what the problem here is ....however I told my corp not to chase their cap yesterday , It was made very clear by CCP that you still have a weekly sp .....and the event only starts today Thursday ! So if you burned through your cap like an idiot ...go and hang yourself.

It is not free. They use a free to play business model. If they accept money from people, it is NOT A FREE GAME. In fact, if you were to run boosters every month, it actually costs more to play this game than EVE.

MIght I say this is the easiest, simplest fix I have seen somebody purpose.

Then CCP doesn't sticky anything saying the cap would be reset. But you're saying that you've been lied over a single dev post? When there's no sticky? Devs aren't communicating well after 1.2 these days if you have noticed. But now that everyone's crying over a bit of SP I guess Devs will appease the masses. You're so full of greed people.

The issue was raised as soon as the event was posted.
Instead of checking the code, the devs reported misinformation.
They had many days in advance to fix this, but wasted them because they made a careless error.
Now it will take twice as long to fix, if it is able to be fixed at all.

From my count, this is the third time that a dev has posted incorrect information carelessly in about a week.
Not an isolated incident. Easily avoidable.
