That could also be a issue. If there's 2 resets this week, 1 could cap out on wednesday, earning approx. 300K sp and than cap out using the reset on Thurs earning approx. 900K SP.

If i was to try to stay on the safe side and not play on Wed., it could mean losing out on 300K XP... which I obviously DO NOT want to do.

Yes, the way I read this is if you play at all Wednesday, you're still screwing yourself. It appears that CCP has no control over this. It's either they don't care, or they can't change it. My assumptions are it's too hard to / they don't want to change any code revolving around server downtime and resets so their events are thrown sloppily on top of it all.

And they deal with the consequences. Is this result of Iceland/Shanghai cooperation, or communication or what?

I think you are assuming that we only triple what is left in your weekly SP cap for the event, which is not the case. The amount of SP you earn on Wednesday will not affect the amount of extra SP cap available to you from the event.

This does leave the question about the end of the event, and if there will be essentially a chance to get an extra triple SP cap during one day after the first week or not.

If i recall the problem last time was when they said "Ends this day" It's not clear if they mean once that day Starts or once that day Ends. So yes, we don't know still. This is why time zones/timestamps clear all sorts of mess up around such issues.

If they said, for example, "Triple SP will not be earned a moment past 7AM EDT on Wednesday the 10th" then it all makes sense.

But saying something ends "Wednesday". is like the English problem of indicating something happens "next weekend" vs "This weekend". Do they meant at the end of Wednesday AKA midnight

If I understand correctly, we'll also recieve triple the bonus from active boosters, so the amount that I earned on Wednesday wouldn't affect my base cap earnings, but if I had earned those points on Thursday I would have had triple the boosted points, so I should save all my points until the event so that they all get x3 boosted. There is no need to save your skill points. The total skill points you can earn from this event with or without a skll booster will not be affected by the skill points earned on Wednesday. You will simply earn skill points faster starting on Thursday.

Last triple SP event I capped out the main weeks 900k SP, then on the wed after the downtime I capped out another 900k in one day, took me 12hrs and a half liter of vodka

First scenario: I have a booster and play all day Wednesday and cap out, then play during 3x SP and cap out.
So, I play all day Wednesday and cap out.
Cap stops me at an earned 1000 SP; and (since booster doesn't effect cap) I pulled an extra 500 SP.
Wednesday total = 1500 SP
Then the next day, 3x SP starts, cap is extended; I play all week, get 2000 SP earned, and 1000 SP from the booster.
Thursday to end of week total = 3000 SP
Final total = 4500 SP

I say:

First scenario: I have a booster and play all day Wednesday and cap out, then play during 3x SP and cap out.

Like the SP from the booster is already tripled, because the earned SP it comes from is tripled.

I don't think CCP is giving us a tripling of SP and a tripling of our multiplier.

OK, I am VERY clear on the 3x SP cap dealy after reading and re-reading and re-reading all the explanations on here. But I would just love it if CCP could chime in on what happens after the cap. Are we still getting 3x on the active boosters? I need to know. Some of us have lives we need to make up excuses for so we can grind all week. Enough of this speculation. What are you talking about? You get 3 SP per WP up to 1,000 SP (1,500 w/ booster) so what's the problem?

That's just it, has this actually been confirmed, or does it boost your end cap to 3000 / 4500 with booster. I imagine it's the first, but it would be nice to have some actual confirmation.
