Resets have always been separate from events as far as I know, so no, there will not be two resets, don't play on Wed. |

Except that isn't what happened in the last SP event. There was, in fact, a single day where people had the chance to cap out at an extra 900,000 SP or so. If you're saying this event is setup the same then there will be one huge day of grinding for a second triple SP cap. I assumed the same thing as you here, last time, and lost out on that SP. (Not QQ, just saying my reasoning was as logically sound as a DEV and served me no good).
Ughhh... that is what happened, did you not pay attention to the dates? Everyone new Wednesday was included, Thursday was the problem, remember, you made a thread 
it said "through thursday", thursday wasn't actually included, y'know. |

No, no, Wednesday's downtime is really early in the morning, so the event will be over by the time the event ends, so we won't get two caps in a week this time around. |

"Ends on July 10th downtime" the NEXT Normal weekly reset happens AFTER the downtime on Wednesday July 10th.
