Tv ads?
Don't make me laugh. If you were a gamer you would have had to have your head in the sand for the past year and a half not know about this game |

The only reason why anyone knows about dust on my friends list is because I play it often. Even then most of them don't know about dust. Also most of my IRL friends don't know about dust even the ones in my college classes on GAME DESIGN (The only reason why a few know is because I told them about it) |

Your student colleagues can't be much interested in the gaming industry then. Seriously. Consumer and trade journals alone had articles on companies moving to /trying out FTP in which dust mentioned plus there were stabs alone articles about ccp linking two games and the importance of eve in the industry.

I am like the only guy at my college to know about Dust. Even some eve players at school didn't know about it.

Oh yes, you're right. They've completely stopped developing and have trashed the project. Just haven't told anyone. They're leading us on, you see. Convincing everyone that they're still working on it, because that's a completely sound business decision. |

"1.2 is one of many, many patches" Yeah and Dust is one of many many free to play games and at its current stage (basic FPS game is broken and don't even deny it) it will be the last game people want to play, in the upcoming many many months with many many good games coming out, seriously. CCP was too slow. (How to fix this? I don't know, hire more people ASAP I guess which is what they are doing already. It's not even a problem of working manpower, it was a problem of the fundamental working environment / style / philosophy or how the management works in CCP attracting the wrong sort of people to do a "triple A e-sport MMORPGLOLFPS". No major gear shift will fix Dust or CCP, the problems go deeper than the throttle itself. |

But the devs saw that their game was pretty damn bad and in a year made the game on of my favorite MMOs to date.
Also I suggest looking at eve when it was first released. |

And you can't compare Dust with EVE because, this is perhaps already explained before, but they are apples and oranges, one is a niche game with completely no competition in what it is offering (this soon will be challenged), another is a laughable FPS that ranks very low on the list of "should I play this free-to-play MMORPGFPS?", and now the answer is "this FPS is broken and content is missing and oh look (insert any other titles here) I'm gonna play that instead". |

Yeah yeah "EVE took a long time to get where it is now" EVE was also essentially alone in the sci fi spaceship based MMORPG area, Dust has a lot of competition and has spent years in development and a good year actually having people play it and provide their feedback but somehow in one feel swoop they were able to undo all the good of chromosome and give us this broken build How about you wait until CCP actually starts marketing this game. CCP said they aren't going to spend a lot of money on marketing until next year. Again next year is far to late, just look at falls upcoming competition, then consider what next years competition will be like, then realize that be the time Dust gets around to advertising those are completely polished games that had the same amount of development time or even less will have their own dedicated player bases running on next gen systems while this game slowly putters along If it helps you feel better I very much wont likely be around after summer so youll have one less person you have to pretend is crazy
What competition. DUST doens't have any competition. Every game with a gun in your hands is not competition to each other. No other existing game or incoming will have the persistence, complexion or it's action to metter like dust has. PS2 sucks, so shallow and i don't even have a slightly desire to experience Destiny. Played WOW for 5 years, God forgive me and i don't have intention to play games like that anymore in my life.
Tnx to God to CCP and it's MMOs |

The MMO I'm talking about is SWG. Look it up. It came around the same time as WoW. It just got shut down a couple years ago because there was a new star wars MMO coming out (Which is HORRIBLE) |

It doesn't matter. The fools playing this game will continue to complain. Games always have the people that will constantly complain about the game, even after getting everything they want. Dust just has people who are FAR worse and feel entitled to being pampered to win without having to use skill to do so.
Once they release all the game features they said were in development, people will start complaining that the items aren't in their favourite colour.
As as soon as the items are available in their favourite color, they will complain theres no black variant.
After they release the black variant, they will complain theres no white variant.
CCP simply can't win with most of the crowd, because they feel like if they decided to play this game, either knowing or finding out its current state of development, while thinking they should be a Rock that is able to dominate Paper, Scissors, and other Rocks with ultimate ease, will continue to complain about every little thing that doesn't make their life happier by not winning at the game they are playing.
I like to laugh on the inside at the ******* who complain all day long on the forums, yet sit there each week and hit their SP cap.

Name one game that has the same genre and game mechanics as dust.
I ask because Dust is alone in the FPS metagame genre. So what competition are you referring to? Games like Destiny that will become stale after 2 months? CoD series which gets boring after 2 weeks? Or maybe you think the bug ridden **** fest that is PS2 is somehow a more developed game because they will port to ps4 and follow the normal 3 month update schedule (if you are lucky) of most playstation games? I'm intrigued by this.
Edit - rephrased first sentence. |

If they admit / tell me that player trading/ link with eve/ null/ mmo will be delivered in 2017 then I will come back then and see if they have improved the gameplay. I hope sooner than that.
I am here trying to find out when the game CCP is advertising/ talks about delivering is actually supposed to turn up. Not this 90s lobby shooter
But they won't tell us.

Did Microsoft tell you in 1990 that they would release windows 95? Did sony say they were gonna create the ps3 a year after the ps2 was released? Did Blizzard tell you they were gonna make Warcraft 3 a few months after warcraft 2 came out?
No. They didn't tell you anything until they felt it was the right time.
CCP isn't psychic. They can't tell the future. They can only continue to work on the game they are developing. If you can't handle their schedule, i suggest you change yours. |

It's not an mmo
It's link with eve is tenuous at most
And having been here since replication CCP promoted trading and a full eve link with soon. They have promoted this vision publicly to journalists and at game conferences.
What I am asking for is when? They must a have timeline internally.
You need to do some economics/ business 101. FTP does not mean this is a free game. And any business saying they don't owe their customers anything will fold very quickly. |

Again with the "Free" game ...You may have free access to the game, but is not free. You need:
- PS3 - Internet Connection - TV
As a Sony exclusive they using the game to sell PS3's to EvE fans, and PC users. Also soon Vita's with the Dust 514 App. If you want to call Dust 514 truly FREE, it should be in the PC without exclusivity rights. |

So...what exactly are YOU talking about? Edit - This is a free to play game, people deciding to spend money on it is of their own free will, and CCP owes them nothing for it. The argument that people payed money on a free to play game is moot point. It's not an mmo It's link with eve is tenuous at most And having been here since replication CCP promoted trading and a full eve link with soon. They have promoted this vision publicly to journalists and at game conferences. What I am asking for is when? They must a have timeline internally. You need to do some economics/ business 101. FTP does not mean this is a free game. And any business saying they don't owe their customers anything will fold very quickly. CCP doesnt even know when the economy will be linked. If they implement it too soon it could breakboth EVE and Dust's economies (It would hurt Dust more then EVE though). P2P trading is probably not far off though. It will take time though. Just be patient like I have for the past year. If you can't deal with that then leave until they implement it. |

Again with the "Free" game ...You may have free access to the game, but is not free. You need: - PS3 - Internet Connection - TV As a Sony exclusive they using the game to sell PS3's to EvE fans, and PC users. Also soon Vita's with the Dust 514 App. If you want to call Dust 514 truly FREE, it should be in the PC without exclusivity rights.
The only flaw with your statement is that the game is still free regardless. If you can't afford a ps3, dust is still free. if you can't afford an internet connection, dust is still free. if you don't have a TV...guess what? Dust is free. Paying money to panasonic and comcast communications has no bearing on CCP providing a free game.
Btw, you know that you also have to buy a computer if you wanted to play it on that, right? |

I do. And they say its going to be delivered. Usually with the term soon. But more importantly its what they promote publicly as being a fact. Hence why I am asking when.
I actually don't think you have any comprehension skills. And are unable to make any logical arguments. |

Dust is not free. It costs CCP money to make the game.
FTP does not mean there is not a business model behind it.

Without a PS3, Dust is not free ... is similar with PC's, F2P games normally have "Under the table" deals with Graphic Card and CPU companies... Just look at the Recommended Specs for a game, and you'll see the "connection". |

You just pointed out they said its going to be delivered...as in not yet implemented. Then in the same paragraph you say they promoted publicly these game mechanics were implemented, as fact.
You don't see the problem there? |

Under the tables deals don't force me to give my credit card information to CCP to purchase items. So even with that logic, Dust 514 is STILL free. |

No. Because all CCP has done is promote a game that hasn't been delivered. I might add they may say there are but who knows. I am asking when we are expecting this magical game to turn up. 3 months 6 months 1 year 2 years 3 years ..... Etc
The promotion of these game mechanics have been going on for a year and a half. That as a fact they will turn up. When all I am asking is when. |
