Don't believe me? Look at the player count. The only buff everything needs is a global range buff, and that can wait until the maps are big enough.
I agree the AR range is fine but once maps grow AR range needs to stay the same with only Sniper, Scrambler, FG, LR, ranges increasing to accomidate long range combat. |

I've been a long time user of the AR, in all shooter games I ever play. I enjoy the versatility of the weapon, being able to move around more freely because I can compete at more of a wide spread range. I do recognize that it's a good gun and that it's one of the best, if not the best gun in the game right now.
As it stands now, I feel that shotgun & HMG > AR in close range. People who can actually use those weapons effectively will tear an AR user a new one in close range, if you fail at winning when using one of those two weapons then get better and try again. HMGs got that shorter range now with more power to rip through people faster at close range, as it should be.
Medium to long range, scrambler rifle > AR. I believe it can reach out further AND its damage is awesome against shield. What is the most popular method of tanking in this game right now? I stopped playing a few weeks ago but IIRC it's shield tanking, when I spec'd partially into the scrambler rifle and tried it out I was eating peoples shields in no time. Plus you can charge it up and do massive damage on the first shot, really nice for counter sniping or when you've snuck up on someone. Really it's a solid gun and I don't see why more people use it. |
