Ignoring my words, and what I was saying, is leading you to the assumption that I am talking about now. The true mark of a COD kiddie - unable to see the bigger picture. Is it? I'll give it a read through later then. Most comparison to EVE and DUST have been utter bullshit so far so I may of jumped the gun when you tried to compare it yourself - but the meta of the two games may be more similar then I expect.
Still so much for me to grasp. |

If you were hired, why would even D-Uni hire someone with "grief" in the name and expect not to be shafted?
If they hired you, and you're advertising a betrayal, congrats, you've ruined any chance (not that you had much with a name like that) of being hired to work for someone again. Also, the devs are working on providing Corps with the tools to boot unwelcome arrivals from their Corp battles. when your "sabotage" results in instant kick from the battle, your current approach will be obsolete and you'll need a new way to make money. I hope you have a plan in the works for that time when it comes. My question is, why do you assume they're some how getting into Corp Battles with players in their Corp? It's painfully obvious. Spy works him/herself into the Corporation, possibly have dozens of Alts available in each corp, must corps have shockingly bad security anyways. Then come the right time for an important corpbattle, Spy invites Grief Uni, joins the battle and leaves immediately, hopefully not being caught. This reduces the team by 5, and also makes it a 16 v 11 v 5. Beautiful Not saying I've met any of the guys, nor do I have anything in mind to do such a thing, but it does seem painfully ******* obvious, despite all these people stating Grief Uni will never be hired, that **** we do not know. I was saying one possibility was that they had a spy bring them in (likely for the spy to be caught, but not confirmed).
Another was that they were hired.
And I was pointing out that CCP have mentioned the possibility of giving senior Corp members toold for removing players from a battle. It's mentioned in one of the official threads about PC. And it won't make it carebear paradise, I can think of ways that griefers will be able to use that.
Just wanted to make sure these guys have a plan for that possibility if and when it happens. |

We would hardly be doing our jobs if we weren't already theorycrafting ways around this problem when CCP nerfs our current, abused tool.
We are a university. We're just a university dedicated to insuring that the blue donut will be packed with C4 and remotely detonated.
Non-Agression is the enemy. Complacency is the enemy. Low-rent tryhards who think that they are immune to the metagame are the enemy.
These are the things we promise to find methods to overcome.
Conflict breeds innovation, chaos and opportunity. All three are good.
E-Honor doesn't impress us. if we were interested in a fair fight we'd go pick one with the imperfects.
But we're not interested in fair. ISK is our interest. We at least are getting paid for our experimentation, unlike some "mercenaries" one might care to name. I think so far we're the only ones who can claim to be mercs.
Two corps slammed for a hefty profit. And our corporate costs? We have destroyed the aspirations of two corps for the low, low price of "free."
oh wait, it cost us two sh**fit Madrugars. Ok we lost like 1.8 million ISK. Whoop dee do. |

Oh I hope so.
But if your MCC exploded that means you lost... and your district won't be making replacement clones until your next reinforce timer comes and goes without another defeat. Which means we have left you more vulnerable to attack than before... unless you pay 80 million more ISk for a genolution pack. |

I was thinking the same thing Django.
Our aspirations our higher than ever. An like many other corps we have had many technical problems too and we have still managed to hold our own. The spy wasn't that smart, if he was listening to us over the chats he would of known he could've caused more damage if he jumped the Onslaugh Inc. fight, they were far tougher opponents.
PXRXO seem to be not much of threat even with the fact that they may of possibly paid for spies to cause us a loss (and we still almost won). I'm puzzled to why they chose dust uni and us, we have a fairly low profile. |

NP. Why didn't you take one? Heck, if I were doing that, I'd be Twitch casting that kitten. ;)
On a different note: do you recall how much SP you got from that fight? Team killing is a unique case where it's one of the only ways to get negative WP. As such almost everyone (plants and D-UNI) ended the match with 0 WP.
Since WP translates to SP, I was wondering if players got tons of SP for tons of kills, or little SP for the 0 WP. ??? |

So basically what you do is have 1 alt in a corp and use them to jump a squad into a fight and then ransom the corp? Well this will work once because most corps will be recording their fights so no matter how quick the guy who brought them in jumps back out if its on tape he's done in that corp so unless you have dozens of alts per corp its pretty much a one time deal per corp really. |

Hrmm, that number is hard to read for me. It feels low for killing a bunch of dudes, but seems way high for pity SP for a 0 WP match. Is that before or after Active Booster? Is that with bonus SP?[/quote]
Intel costs extra.
But more seriously, 5 SP per second the match lasts + 1 SP per Warpoint.
basically this is the AFKer formula. You're guaranteed the greatest Sp rewards for just being there. warpoint rewards are a distant second.
basically the match lasted about twenty minutes before we hunted down the last clone and put a round through the back of his head. So 20 minutes = 1200 seconds = 6000 SP. |

Which means we have left you more vulnerable to attack than before... unless you pay 80 million more ISk for a genolution pack. That's fine because we still have over 200 clones left and will beat the living daylights out of PRO in the reattack tomorrow - actually, I don't even think they're reattacking that district because we've beaten them so bad in the other 3 battles we weren't hindered in. We'll be fine.
And we won't be needing to add more clones. All you've really cost us is a few bucks for suits and clones that were generated for free. The profit we would've got from winning would've been nice but not needed. We still have over a billion isk throughout the corp anyway.
I think what you need to keep in mind is that you have to get a reputation for honouring your ransom if it is paid otherwise no one will ever believe you will not throw the game anyway and you'll never get paid. That means you're going to first have to actually get someone to pay and then get them to publicly admit that they paid and that it worked. Good luck with that and good luck ever getting paid a ransom.
And really if PRO did pay you, they were wasting even more isk than the 240million isk they have already spent trying to attack us. The time to use this tactic would have been if they'd actually stood a reasonable chance of taking the district and killing 400+ clones. In fact if I was whoever paid you at PRO, I'd be pissed that you didn't deliver the full district on a platter and only killed 180 of our clones. SEE PEOPLE - THIS CORP OF MERCENARY GRIEFERS CAN'T EVEN DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY! way to build a rep ;) |

when we finished the match you had 104 clones remaining.
now you have over 300.
You either bought a geno pack and reinforced, or you shuffled clones from another location to reinforce and bought a geno pack to cover up the loss in another district.
