Like some Scouts are amazingly fast you can't even hit them it's almost impossible. The more speed they have the more the aim is exploited for their favor. |

We have been reporting the problems with aiming to CCP for a year or more now at least. Frame rate is only one fraction of the overall aiming 'problem'. The most worrying part is that it seems the issues with hit detection are very random from player to player. Then you get into the auto-aim which seems to function differently between characters, whether or not it is turned on or off. A long time ago you could out-snipe a sniper with a Breach AR by aiming down the sight and quickly releasing the zoom while firing - for some of us this equalled automatic hits. Now I can't hit anything with a Breach AR even at point blank, but I can still get my fire to magnetize on target with the other ARs sometimes... if my aiming is working at all. Zoomed aiming- for many of us it feels laborious and/ or too sensitive; careful aim should be more rewarding than hip fire at long range, but Dust reverses these fundamentals. AND Where Are The ----- Color Options for sights!?!?!? This is supposed to be a finished game and CCP has no color blind support - or am I too blind to find it? Five of my buddies who tried Dust all said they will not play due to the horrible aiming and frame rate / lag. I got sick of submitting reports a long time ago... figure Dust is good to fill time while waiting for newer games to release.
P.S. I tried playing with the resolution set to 480 for half a day and it was still crap for me and I died lots. Meh. |

I've been told by one of my corp that if you aim just to the right and up a little of the target you can get more kills that way.It seems to work. |

IF they are going right yes. IF they are going left you do the same but only to the left instead. It's just hard though to ignore what you see and what at what you don't see. What is the purpose in showing you a avatar of the enemy if he's not really there? Is my entire argument. I shouldn't have to shoot at wraiths, I should be able to aim (the function put in game to put bullets exactly where you want them to go) and shoot at the avatar shown on the tv screen.
As far as the other guy saying aim has been broken for a whole year I just came in to open beta so unfortunately I can't speak on that. I just know here in Uprising it is broken worse than ever (from what ME, I have seen). I joined Jan 10th (Open Beta) |

After seeing this i did a bit of testing. I noticed a few things. Aim assist makes it very hard to leed your target, Turn that off. ADS is way slower than hip fire. I use the TAR [Not because its op, I hate it but all other ARs are crap] I tested with all the proto ARs. I can not explain it any other way but this: When you ADS with out a scoped gun your character moves independent of the gun. It happens with scoped guns also but not as bad. If you ADS on stairs and fall off your gun dosent keep up with your body. In ADS if you move right, Then juke back left your gun dosent keep up. Not sure if this is what your talking about, And im not sure if they intended it to work like that but its crap, and wasnt like that in Cromo. |

Yup! You hit it on the nose. Did you notice when you were using the fully automatic assault rifle that when they are moving you have to shoot not at them but in the direction they are heading? Fighting a Scout with fully auto is extremely difficult almost impossible. |

I have recently submitted a ticket about this issue as well. This problem has to get fixed CCP it's a very serious issue in a shooter. I am talking like stop what you are working on and work on this problem 100% serious. Aim is extremely critical in a shooter. |

I would like to remind that there are also other hit-detection issues, that are unrelated to aiming, (at least I'm experiencing serious issues in some matches) where enemies, that are just standing still, wont take any dmg. Other people are also complaining about firing "duds" with several weapons, so I know that I'm not the only one having these issues. |

I have no idea. That is the only gun I have never touched at all. |

We have programmers dedicated to fixing this, this thread will be updated once there's any progress.
BTW, it'll be very nice to have a video demonstrating the problem. |

Whoa, this thread is almost down on page two, better post something...
I dug out my move, sharpshooter etc. to see how they worked in Uprising. This aiming issue really ruined it, especially in close quarters. I remember shotgun used to work fairly well with the move a couple of patches ago (when I last used it) but it was impossible to aim what with the enemies moving in tiny warps and the random micro freezes whenever there was fighting around me. I think the problems were actually easier to spot when using the move, since you need constant visual feedback about where the cross hairs are.
(there are other move-related issues, but they aren't relevant for this thread) |

Scouts are extremely fast and hard to hit, You have to leed your target. How much depends on how fast there moving and how much lag is in the game. The problem is its hard to get any DPS on them. You can hit them a few times then there gone behinde cover. For some reason i cant post link but take a look at this video>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9IRzWgzArM <<< @ 1:12 or so you see the guy ADS then jump/fall on a hill. Watch how the gun moves, His body goes onway his gun the other. Best is @2:42 when he spawns in on the hill and ADS. He jumps in ADS and his body goes oneway and his gun sites go the other. Im long time gamer and back in the day with no crosshairs we would put a little dot of whiteout in center of screen. Try it and you will see how much your gun site floats. Now Is This 'Working as intended' I hope not. |

I think that issue is connection related. That is what the problem is 9/10. Poor server or connection to server. LAG. |

In this video go to 3:50 He shoots a laser guy up with a whole clip and I think out of 60 bullets I think 3 of them found it's target. |

No it's not me saying the guy isn't good. If you look he's clearly shooting dead on the guy but not hitting him. It is the whole point of this thread. (least that is what I think.) The whole thing is the guys aren't where you see them on the screen. @ 3:50 it clearly shows it the main guy of the video is shooting the dude up but only gets 3 hit marks out of 60 shots. I noticed at least 20 bullets should of hit. |

There was a Dust review by IGN. They pretty much hit the problem dead on accuracy.

It's real bad with the shotgun. I shoot people dead on and the damn lag just does no damage. |

Sniper rifles are brutal right now too, It's at BEST 50/50 if a hit registers even when it appears to be a hit. Had a game recently that took 3 obv head shots to an assault before it registered and he dropped... i was also crouched, ads w an Ishukone sniper and he was AFK just standing there a bit over 100 yds away, so no chance it was just a few bad shots. |
