Hi XeroTheBigBoss, We had a battle server patch at 11 GMT on 23 May. In that patch we added an extra lag compensation considering the display lag which is expected to improve the aim issue. Can you please try and tell if it makes improvement?
We did have in house playtest with 200-300ms environment and we didn't get the aim issue reproduced. Is it possbile you record a video so we can identify what's wrong easily?
And some other questions: How big is the ping from your ps3 to the battle server? Are you feeling the other enemies or yourself teleporting occasionally? Are you having the aim issue for all weapons? Do you fire at in front of or behind the enemy move direction to get actual shot? When you get this problem, how far away is the enemy? When you get this problem, is the frame rate high or low? Is the game running smoothly(player movement, particle effects, etc)?
Thanks!
Hello,
I'm not Xero, but I've been having these hit related issues after uprising.
Ping is great / no packet loss.
Yesterday, after the patch, I had lot worse hit-detection than usually. This was mostly in skirmish matches (those are what I mostly play atm) on eu servers (I tried to set server to EU and automatic to see if that is the reason for these problems). I'm from Finland and I have 100/10 connection and I don't have any lag related issues with other fps games that I play on my ps3. Lately I have been having similar problems that op has, but since yesterday it has actually been worse. (People on the red team were mostly from European corps so I'm pretty sure that we were on eu servers all the time).
Weapons that I tried, Glu tac AR, shotgun, mlt sniper rifle. Glu, and shotgun were terrible. I normally go 2-10 kdr in skirmish but yesterday I had problems to even get single kill in those matches (got loads and loads of assists).
I tested this with alliance member (from UK) on the opposite side and shot him with tac AR in different setups (he was standing still, moving sideways and closing on me).
Normally hit-detection has been off when enemy moves sideways (strafes) but now it was bad even when he came in straight line towards me (only 2rounds out of 10 made any dmg to him with GLU tac ar). I could see on my screen that every shot was a hit but only 2/10 made any dmg. Also when he was standing still game didn't register all hits.
I tested this on several ranges and I didn't notice any difference. TBH it was lot worse try to track strafing enemies and get shots because of frames per second issues.. On shotgun it didn't even register all hits when my friend was standing still, point blank (took 3 shots to kill him while he was using starter fit, medium frame)???
I noticed some issues even with sniper. When I aimed trough scope enemies didn't move smoothly.. Hard to describe, but they were not rubber-banding (warping maybe, but really small warps?). Anyways their movement didn't render properly, but dmg seemed to be alright when I actually hit somebody (got few kills with it).
Also there was no difference whether I was in squad or solo.
I had also few terrible freezes in game where everything seemed to stop for a few secs this was specially in installations even when there was no enemies near by.
All these problems started after uprising! ( Yesterday I played from right after downtime to about 15utc and again 18-21utc)
Only effective weapon atm seems to be LAV
btw. I use controller fi that makes any difference.
Fix this ASAP, pls! |

+1
I would like to remind that there are also other hit-detection issues, that are unrelated to aiming, (at least I'm experiencing serious issues in some matches) where enemies, that are just standing still, wont take any dmg. Other people are also complaining about firing "duds" with several weapons, so I know that I'm not the only one having these issues. |
