That may be a trigger, but I'm in the UK and I've had this for five days. There is a problem with the in-client patching process where a less than optimal connection will seemingly corrupt a patch process, causing it to hang at an indeterminate point. This is a problem on your end, as it should be able to 'weather' a spotty connection just as PSN downloads, browsers and every other modern device and application has protections in place to do so.
