Really, only officer items matter since they don't have a current "market" value", and I guess some BPO's that were once cheaper. |

I asked for an update and unfortunately WILL NOT be in uprising. Majority Blame for delay is back end and art ui. |

OK can some one please clarify? We WONT get back our AUR used on SP boosters. We WONT get back AUR spent on dropsuits and lost in battle. But we WILL get back our AUR spent on unused SP boosters? Does this mean the smart thing to do would be to load up on AUR gear before the respec so that we actually make AUR off this? Because from the looks of it if we don't spend our AUR on something then we would have the same exact amount of AUR after the respect as we did before even though the prices went up 2x. Or have I misunderstood? |

... I think it's too late to "load up on AUR gear".
It's simple, people who bought a BPO for 10K aurum when they were cheaper shall now be getting 20k arum, because that's what they cost now, so basically they'll make a profit.
Iron Wolf tells me some stuff will see a price drop come Uprising though, so feel free to try and load up on AUR gear if you want, I can't guarantee you'll make a profit though.
Edit: Prices for this demonstration were made up. |

I remember buying my AUR BPOs during closed beta back when the prices were almost equal to that of an AUR dropsuit today. Imagine getting a refund on those BPOs at the current prices. |

So what if some mercs get an effective bump in AUR? Say I bought BPO X for Y AUR, X is now worth 2Y. I had my AUR doubled, but I can't buy X for the original price anymore; all I can do is get what I had before the refund. |

So the link states that the reimbursement price will be equal to that of prices at the time of respec. That, I think, is vague since the respect happens during the installation of the update. And so does that mean pre or post patch prices?
The other thing is, you may not want to stock up on AUR gear because it doesn't state (so far as I could tell) that ALL Aur items are being reimbursed. You don't want to buy stuff and find out that you are stuck with the item.
My honest guess is that a number of items will be going down in price. I wouldn't be surprised if some have a significant cost reduction (eg, a BPO that was 10k is now just 1k).

Most probably current prices, not new ones going to get reimbursed. That makes sense. Also, they said they will do big dev blog with list of stuff detailed whats gonna be respecced, reimbursed, removed, etc. |
