Yes, but unless I am mistaken she is a member of the NA and english speaking community, and that reply was more aimed at someone who can comunicate with the large non-english speaking Dust communities, along with ideally the smaller groups of non-english speakers being included, though we may need a CPM candidate that can communicate in 20+ languages

There is no real change they can bring about while CCP runs a skeleton crew with minimal resources. It's merely a play to keep the faith alive amongst the fan boys.

Exactly why I'm building walls of text in the hope this trend does not continue, Dust has all the activity it needs what is lacking is players that get behind communtiy driven events, who better to do that than those formailities that are communicating for us??
The majority of fanboys went chasing their destiny, Dust does have some loyal gamers left though, all the more reason CPM should reach out to them. Have we not learned sitting about crying for CCP to do something doesn't work?? if they can see a functioning community they are more likely to consider being involved. Reading posst like yours I'm sure some DEV's regret ever making a f2p gamer for whining kids, it is what you make of it, and you sir seem to be holding a piece of crap.

We really need a Spanish or Portuguese speaking CPM member if you go by percentage of the DUST player population, although Italian would definitely be helpful too.
All candidates need to be fluent in English though, as your ability to communicate with your segment of the Community does not do any good if you can't communicate effectively with CCP.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

No, it's more like acknowledging the fact at the beginning of Dust those with sense knew this would go nowhere for upto and likey past 5years of blood, sweat and tears (I do my part) and ven then we'll have problems, Dust is still much better than many active games for the quality of content, gameplay and the way it pretends to offer some immersion...
We do get plagued by gamers addicted to shiny who insist on picking up each new release to play it, get bored, come back here and complain... but after this long it's cute.. and we are glad to welcome you back |

I just come here for the laughs. This forum never disappoints. Most fan boys who play this game daily simply don't even give other games a chance, they just pour their money into this and stay, killing the same noobs over and over with the same squads playing the same game modes using the same tactics for years on end.
I just love watching the show, and since my PC is dead right now I have no incentive to log in to record for giggles. There's nothing left to come back to lol. |

I just look at CCPs track record, realize the chances of no port / new game are far higher than getting one, and I see no point in wasting time trying to make water into wine. I've watched amazing ideas and talented players come and go as CCP time and time again shows they simply lack the resources to keep up with the industry.
Perhaps some day they'll surprise me and bring their game up to speed, and if they do I have plenty of ISK and SP and I'll test it out again, but I'm just enjoying other games and living my life. CCP Hilmar has all but abandoned the dream of DUST, so I see no reason to believe CCP wants this game to be taken seriously.
Don't get so rustled up by someone who doesn't even play this game anymore, just keep having fun and carry on.

We all want Dust ported. Till that day however, how we can enrich this beautiful gem on PS3 is all we can do.
This is exactly right. First impressions are very important. Look back at all the initial Dust reviews. Mediocre at best. Dust over-promised and made poor initial impressions, and it's still suffering from that. A lot of the negative critique was valid, but looking back at the video's much of what everyone complained about no longer applies today; the game has really come a very long way since then. I think if Dust were released in 2012 as it is today then it would have fared so much better. Which is why I see this is such a great opportunity right now for Dust. Through many ups and downs Dust has been quietly improving and upgrading since it's release, while people outside this community are barely aware Dust exists. With nearly zero hype to live up to Dust is poised to pounce on next-gem gamers like a tiger. E3 doesn't scare me. Battlefront will be let down, Fallout will be great, but a single player game will never steal an online shooter community, PS2 seems to be popular, but lacks the larger persistent universe of New Eden, Battlefield, CoD, Killzone players are all weary of endless DLC packs, greedy monitization and one-year life spans of games etc. Which is why we need to use the time we have on the PS3 to continue making this game better and better until a port finally happens. Which is why I'm running for CPM2. I'm very optimistic about Dust and see so much potential, and I'd like to help in any way I can. My thoughts exactly. You won my vote with one post! That is impressive.
Stay tuned.

I like to think that Rattati and I both react well to a very analytical approach on topics. He's always been very responsive to my discussions with him because I approach things in a very factual manner. So when he comes up with an idea that just doesn't make sense, and I explain to him why it doesn't make sense, he's been very willing to change his position on the topic.
What he doesn't respond to well is emotionally driven rants and demands, which is something I always try to avoid in my conversations.

Thanks for the shout out. Your description of my position is accurate. The casual game has seemed from time to time an anathema to hardcore players. My wishes for tamer or so called "easier" game play need not subvert the wish to also ensure the competitive player gets what they want to. It is just a matter of pub play vs. FW vs. PC.
The idea is that the power player is about the competition and not the flavor of the game. The casual gamer is more an RPer type and wants to feel like the game has a quality of satisfaction through enjoyment of roles and certain gear in the game.
More contrast in everything is the answer. Seems most aspects of the game are too "in the middle" right now. It is as if CCP wants to serve everybody that it ends up not really serving either demographic. I don't think a whole lot of players are in between on their preferences. It's either casual and fun or full on competitive play. No more muddy water!
I really want PC to be more than an epeen thing. Leaderboards? Nah, let's get some of that EVE connection in a simple form that jibes with my initial idea about where CCP might be going with the whole Planetary Interaction thing. That would be the idea that DUST matches would fight over the PI structures of players. Even in high sec this would work with NPC corps randomly wardeccing a players PI command center and initializing a match in DUST. The only info being passed between games is a simple yes or no statement that flags an EVE player's command center as won or lost and therefore destroyed.
Fun, cheap, casual in pubs and high sec. Big, serious, expensive and competitive in null sec. Very lucrative in its own way for FW.

While I agree that the community needs to make the content in Dust 514, the only way that can happen is if CCP provides the tools with which that content is made. They've done a good job but we're incredibly limited, despite all that Dust 514 is.
We need to get our foot in the door and have more to work with, honestly. There's a lot of candidates out there that make these epic promises but all of it just seems so self important, honestly... Like, virtually every veteran I can think of off the top of my head is running this year and I'm either so jaded that I'm just seeing a big cloud of all the same things or they really are running for all the same things. I dunno. /shrug
I'd rather the community have more opportunities to represent themselves than have these crazy elections where a handful of people toss their hat in and hope for the best. I think we should work toward that.
