CPM is a formality.
There is no real change they can bring about while CCP runs a skeleton crew with minimal resources. It's merely a play to keep the faith alive amongst the fan boys.
CPM has no purpose in a DUST that CCP has all but abandoned. |

The only person I would have ever voted for was the best CPM in DUST history, JUDGE, and I didn't even vote for that sexy beast.

Sorry, but a buggy lobby shooter with low frame rate, dwindling player base, virtually no dev team or resources, nothing ground breaking to speak of, mediocre graphics and a horrendous push and pull of attempted balance was by no means influenced by my cynicism.
You're the ones blinded by optimism, praying for gold while it's you who's holding the piece of crap ;)

No, it's more like acknowledging the fact at the beginning of Dust those with sense knew this would go nowhere for upto and likey past 5years of blood, sweat and tears (I do my part) and ven then we'll have problems, Dust is still much better than many active games for the quality of content, gameplay and the way it pretends to offer some immersion... We do get plagued by gamers addicted to shiny who insist on picking up each new release to play it, get bored, come back here and complain... but after this long it's cute.. and we are glad to welcome you back

I just come here for the laughs. This forum never disappoints. Most fan boys who play this game daily simply don't even give other games a chance, they just pour their money into this and stay, killing the same noobs over and over with the same squads playing the same game modes using the same tactics for years on end.
I just love watching the show, and since my PC is dead right now I have no incentive to log in to record for giggles. There's nothing left to come back to lol. |

What do you play now then? You think we're blind? Dude we know. Dust is on a 10 year console Dust is losing players Dust needs X, Y, 21367, etc We know. However we are making do with what we have so that all your qualms have been solvef or are in a far better state following a Port ( and I hope to the gods that they do) The CPM can't make it rain, but look at all thse games that have claimed will kill Dust. I sure as hell know Im already bored with almost all of them, and I can attest that many people can honestly say Dust is a good game. Full of issues, but the community and when it's working correctly is amazing. That Dust Fiend is why we continue with the optimism. I'm a Merc damnit, and you can bet I'm keep pewpewing till the servers shut down
I don't want you to stop, nor am I trying to.
I just look at CCPs track record, realize the chances of no port / new game are far higher than getting one, and I see no point in wasting time trying to make water into wine. I've watched amazing ideas and talented players come and go as CCP time and time again shows they simply lack the resources to keep up with the industry.
Perhaps some day they'll surprise me and bring their game up to speed, and if they do I have plenty of ISK and SP and I'll test it out again, but I'm just enjoying other games and living my life. CCP Hilmar has all but abandoned the dream of DUST, so I see no reason to believe CCP wants this game to be taken seriously.
Don't get so rustled up by someone who doesn't even play this game anymore, just keep having fun and carry on.
Or don't, which just keeps me around the forums longer ;) |
