Hahaha, you should see Pokey on Skype. Another classic example of forum behavior =/= the actual person.

Pokey's crazy, but the good kind of crazy. The CPM would benefit from technical minds as much as social and creative minds.
Pokey's creative. Not very social, but creative.

Anyway, was a fun (stupid) chat guys but I gotta go run and handle up on school instead of playing Dust 514 because I'm such a bitter vet and all. It's okay though, I put in my two weeks at work about three months ago so I should have a lot more free time to play soon.

I think maybe only 2 such people that I know of are likely to run. Agendas are good. But a willingness to LISTEN to the agendas of others and COMPROMISE for the health of the game is a must. A CPM should have a clear idea of what they want to accomplish from the get-go, and be prepared to accept that these priorities may change if given new information.
You are correct. I guess I didn't word that properly. I guess "pushing an agenda" would have been the better phrasing. Because the vast majority of Agendas that are pushed are not unbiased.
When someone has something set in their mind they pretty much ignore all discussion, evidence, and logic to the contrary. I would like to avoid that. Hence, the CPM member I would vote for has beliefs that they will not hammer in to people or (and what CPM are actually able to do) manipulate the phrasing of said beliefs and their counterarguments when discussing with CCP to imply different contexts. Context is a dangerous thing and is why we need unbiased people. Assuming that we have unbiased people -- then agendas get less destructive and more active.
But pushy pushers never consider that. Hence, I worry about that type of person's ability to try to break down their own argument without subconsciously defending it.

I would disagree.
Think of Cross Atu or IWS. If I was to have removed all of their forum posting...I'd not have voted for either of them.
Their behavior on the forums was directly indicative to me of whether I found them worthy or wanting.
Appia? Completely indicative of her potential behavior in my opinion.
I'm not suggesting there can't be exceptions...my behavior on the forums was 50% shitting on people in the war room. But I also had numerous other threads where I was constructive without pulling an Appia when someone disagreed...and strived to improve when I fell short.
Just my opinion

Click here for 5 more pages of you calling us idiots. Your good friend Zatara successfully ran a "I'm humble now!" campaign. He's got an ego like you've got a temper, and once elected, it showed. People will say whatever it takes to get a vote. You say you're open-minded now. That you listen to people. That you're working on your hot temper. I hope you are. And if you get elected, I really hope you are. But after Zatara, I'm not inclined to believe you. I'm more inclined to believe that you'll be exactly who you've always been, and that someone is plain to see in your post history. TL;DR: I think you have good ideas, Kirk, but I think you'd be a terrible community representative.
Lol I don't know where I ran a "I'm a humble person" campaign. I ran a "I represent PC" campaign, and I have pushed a PC agenda.
Anyone that knows me knows that my ego hasn't affected my capacity to serve on the CPM. Just because I don't kiss ass and play nice with the circlejerk in the barbershop doesn't lend any credibility to the bullshit you're propagating. Sorry bud.
If you'd like to prove my ego somehow crippled my capacity to serve on the CPM then please by all means.
Some day you'll learn that everyone's got flaws and they all suck balls and no one is any better than the next.
If you think you'll get fulfillment out of trying to put others down, then I pity you. If you think I was crippled as a CPM because of my pride...then I respectfully disagree, and don't think my fellow CPM or CCP would agree with you.
You can attempt to rewrite **** so that it fits your distorted worldview if it pleases you, but reality isn't fashioned by your bias.
I think if you stop drinking the kool-aid and wanted to actually know a **** about me with an open mind you'd be as surprised as Sari was...or anyone else who ever came to FA and said that I was different than their perception of me.
But that's up to you bud. :)
I live to serve people...my personality is ENTJ primary closely followed by ENFJ.
Whatever I did to make you so upset, I'm sure we could hammer it out if it's something you were interested in.
If not then I guess it really is demonstrative of who you are and where you are as a person.
You can write all sorts of mean things and I'm here telling you let's be friends. lol

Judge and zatara. Where are they now?
Most people, myself included, put these two on their ballot simply because of their game experience. They had a lot more in-game experience than most likely the rest of the candidates combined (sorry guys.) Turns out, they have been the worst two CPM members to date (barring maybe jenza and Kane, who ironically had the most game experience from CPM 0.)
What...how have I been a bad CPM?
When did this ole' circlejerk start?

There is way too much drama in this place right now.
I can tell you all that _every single current CPM1 member_ has been extremely active and valuable to us, whether that being planetary conquest, game balance, specific game design decisions, events, and other feedback that we asked them to give us. It can't be stressed enough that each one of the current 5 members was and is contributing to the conversation on their own and it is very appreciated by the whole development team.
And no, they never pushed for their personal agenda. They are very objective and talk to not only us but to their friends and corp mates as well before they give us their overall feedback and even sometimes spark a whole discussion regarding some topic.
So yeah. It is probably best for you all to simply know that we are more than happy to work with the CPM1 and will continue to do so until end of July when we will start slowly transitioning into CPM2 and hopefully have once again great people on the council. Because that's what ultimately matters. Having good guys and making the game better together.

Utimately this boils down to believing that the CPM has more than an advisory capacity in this creative process.
They seem to believe that the CPM gets to dictate design decisions rather than strongly suggest and present evidence as to why.
And there's way too much assumption of "Oh my, something happened that I don't like! (Insert disliked CPM member here) is to blame for this outrage!)
that's if they're not too busy making personal attacks about you and rattati, calling you all incompetent or something.
Posting histories are AMAZING to look at.

Cant forget, just because the CPM are chosen by a vote, doesn't mean they are some sort of DUST 514 parliment.
Just CCP telling us to pick 7 guys that they want to chat with on upcoming features before the forums find out.
My vote will be based on who i think will give the most relevant advice. My only source is whats out in the public sphere. Because CPM cannot break NDA.
Based on that behavior, there are some i will certainly not support. Others i am more open to.

Yes its like voting for prom king, dirtying the reputations of those who stand now or may in the future, but try to see who's saying what and remember them later as you vote. Do you want anyone as CPM who can go as low as this? Actually thinking a CPM can manipulate CCP into changing Dust for there sole benift is laughable.
