See, this is my issue with you. You never intended to vote for the dude and you have absolutely no intentions of changing your views about that - you don't care what he stands for, who he is, or what he's done for the community; the only thing you care about is that he doesn't constantly agree with your - often ****** - viewpoints and buy into your constant use of Ad Hominem.
Point in case, you antagonize the guy about how open-minded he is and then for the next half-dozen posts go on your own little rant about why he's not "community representative material" - which is laughable because you act like your idea of what -is- and -is not- community rep material is somehow the standard; well, allow me to enlighten you on something, buddy, it isn't. You are not that important, you are not the center of the universe, and while your handful of friends in-game might be nodding and agreeing with your one-sided view of things, there are a lot of us out there that could care less about what you think up until you start pulling this "hey everyone look at what I think isn't CPM material" act -that you always do-.
Because, honest to god, even if the dude -DID- work on his temper, hell even if -I- worked on -MY- temper (pro-tip, I'm not going to) you still wouldn't vote for either of us because it just doesn't pander what -YOU- want out of the game, no matter how conceited or egocentric it actually is. The personality isn't a factor, you're just using that as a justification for an argument so you don't come out and just admit that you don't like either of us because we disagree with you. You scrape for any little flaw in the personality to use against them BECAUSE IT'S YOUR SPECIALTY. If you didn't have Ad Hominem on your side, none of your arguments would hold -ANY- weight at all because you just can't argue the points brought up.
And until you actually get around to realizing that, you can't honestly expect anyone to respect you because you don't have show enough respect as to not just blindly contradict someone in some ham-fisted attempt to make them look bad and then hilariously finish with a half-hearted, insincere compliment like "I think you have good ideas" sandwiched in between (who'd have guessed) even more contradictory bullshit.
Just leave dude. Just leave the community and stop trying because those who actually matter will never buy into your tactics.

And just a note to the rest of you: Stop thinking about why a person -SHOULD NOT- be a CPM representative and start thinking about why they -SHOULD- be a CPM representative. Everyone's got flaws, you're never going to find perfection, so stop trying. The sooner you realize that many members of this community have more pros than cons, the better off you'll be.
And for the love of god, don't vote someone in based on their Youtube personality, seriously, you already saw what that was like. The joke is over.

The joke is over. After Judge's shitfit and subsequent fleeing from CPM1 I would not be surprised if having a Youtube channel was almost a detriment for CPM2 hopefuls. Hopefully more people will be aware of this and actually question the hopefuls, instead of blindly voting for them even after the masses of red flags that appeared on them during the campaigns (pyrex vouching for you being the biggest red flag) also mfw no one mentions me in the CPM2 thread, sadface
Honestly, the CPM needs to have the capability and drive to ask the hard questions from CCP. Balance changes are great and all but we seriously need to look toward the future. With Legion all but dead we need to seriously start asking a few things:
- What's the longterm roadmap? - Where will we be five years from now? - If not Legion, than what is the majority of the development team working on? - Why be silent about the good news when it comes to the long-term?
Stuff along those lines. If a CPM hopeful can ask those questions, and press them, they have my vote.

If I were, I would expect my history of bias to be called into question, be it perceived or factual. I would expect my viewpoints and agendas, both past and present, to be inquired about and challenged. I would expect that any "bad behavior" in my past (fits, name-calling, irrational posting, etc) to be dug up and offered as a potential indicator for future behavior. I would expect to be thoroughly vetted. And if I were running for a position as a Community Representative, I would absolutely expect to be called out if I had ever referred to the Community as "idiots".
Think before you post and you won't be called an idiot. Being a 'Representative' doesn't automatically assume you to be nice or hold people's hands and the community is not entitled niceness from a representative. They're there to get a job done, not to play the politician. I'd actually be -MORE- worried about a candidate that does play nice with everyone because they then cannot be objective. I want a candidate that is passionate and stands up for their beliefs with drive, stubborn drive if necessary.
Feel free to vote for 'everyone's friend' if you want. We had that already and it didn't change anything.
EDIT: And I -certainly- don't want a candidate who is afraid to say no to someone. Don't care how polite you are, if you can't tell a person 'no' then you're not worth having on the CPM.

We had that already and it didn't change anything. Representative absolutely means dealing with people, and personalities matter when it comes to dealing with people. We need representatives who can get the community involved while remaining focused on the issues. Candidates with histories of throwing tantrums, name-calling, browbeating, etc should be called out for their behavior as these behaviors stand in direct conflict with what we need in representatives. You, Appia, Sgt Kirk, me ... we are cut from the same cloth. We're as likely to attack the person as we are the issue. We would all make for bad Community Representatives.
Hahaha, comparing me to Appia - that in itself is hilarious.
No. A candidate can -absolutely- get the community involved in something while still being antagonistic toward them (see Jita riots); you wouldn't even know who I was if I -WASN'T- antagonistic toward you because infamy has a way of settling in with people a hell of a lot more than playing Barney. We're not here to love each other, we're here to play the game (which I'll remind is largely brutal in it's theme as it is) and if forum behavior stop you from voting someone in that actually does deserve it, based on their merit, you deserve an awful experience because your vote was wasted.
Remember that the representatives -ARE THERE TO FIX THE GAME-, not your behavior, their behavior, or whether or not you like them. This game comes first, not your personal feelings. If you can't handle it, don't talk to the person - hide their posts, block them on Dust 514, and run yourself. Play nice with everyone, see how far it gets you.
A person can absolutely be antagonistic and still remain on point with the community's interests and of course, the community's interests are often not -YOUR- interests. Even still, a Representative has to know when the community is being ******** and know how to say no. The community is not always right, much in the same way the customer is not always right. In the end the only thing that matters is what goes on in that meeting room with CCP, and what goes on in that Skype channel. They don't have to be friendly - they have to be objective.

Than vote for someone who'll do nothing of value and let the game die. If you can't separate events, behaviors, and ideals in the moment to moment than you're just going to be alone, miserable, and holding a lot of grudges.

You got this -ALL- wrong. If CCP is here to fix the game and the CPM doesn't call them out on their BS then we'll just have another incident with Uprising 1.0 - 1.8.
I'll post the video again because you clearly -DID NOT WATCH IT-. Click the link, and listen.
https://youtu.be/7kat_uoAvnk?t=1m59s
CCP: "It's easy to be friends when everything is going swell."
The Mittani: "- we were a little mean." CCP: "Yes, you used strong wording." The Mittani: "It was kind of - maybe a little awkward when we watched the expressions of the CCPers as they read our statement" CCP: "Well sure, I think it's important here to remember that each party plays it's role. You guys are playing your role of keeping us in check."
It doesn't get any more clear than that. That right there is -all- the CPM should be concerned with. Your feelings toward them or their behavior have absolutely nothing to do with this.

It's cool bro, your Granddad could have been a firefighter who saved hundreds of lives but the one drunken act means that none of that matters. Don't you know? Never forget, never forgive, that whole mantra. You're not allowed to make mistakes or have flaws BECAUSE THAT'S NOT PROPER FIREFIGHTER MATERIAL
Or whatever people think.
Because sincere public apologies, resignation of senior positions, and the forfeiture of all in-game assets to the victim are clearly not enough to prove a person's shame and they should all be hung from the trees at the first slight.

Geez, you're getting pretty emotional here. Chill. I am hearing from Soraya that he stepped down. That's good. He did the right thing and we should give him credit for that much at least. He ****** up and, like an adult, accepted the consequences for his actions.
I'm not at all comparing the two, I'm illustrating the fact that a single mistake or flaw to you people is enough to completely destroy them. And, yeah, I have a tendency to get emotional over the things that are important to me - if you haven't figured that out by now, well, deal with it. /shrug I don't think a person's mistakes or flaws define who they are and I'll argue with you until death about it.
The Mittani didn't 'accept the consequences', he orchestrated consequences of his own out of guilt. Originally he was hit by a 30-day ban from the game and that was pretty much it. He stepped down of his own volition, gave all his assets to the person, and then made a public apology. If you still think that his reputation and all the good he did mean absolutely nothing because of that, even after he made the willing, conscious decision to make amends, well - pssh, you're more of a monster than he is.
Just saying, he could have just taken his 30-day ban and went about his life like nothing happened.

So, you've never once considered it easier to say something on the forums as opposed to in person/on skype?
You've never once realized that something you, or someone else said was taken out of context due to a lack of tone illustrated via text?
Can you tell how the tone with which I am typing this right now? Sarcastic? Facetious? Patronizing? Serious? Sympathetic? Curious? Inspired? Jealous?
Must be a real feat to be able to understand exactly what a person is saying without being able to hear how they convey the message. (^ Pro-tip, that was disingenuous)
