CCP had a one year, recurring, contract which enabled them to push forward patches at lower cost than normal, for the condition that their game was exclusively on the Playstation. Upon announcing LEGION, they lost the ability to claim said contract for the year as the platform exclusivity had been violated. If this "exclusivity" had not been a part of the contract, the Devs would have been able to openly talk about Legion for quite some time prior, such as the conceptualization etc. Or maybe you forgot the comments that were "Laser focused" before? The Devs at that time were forbidden to even spread the rumor that a platform change was in the mix... Then they announced Legion, the Devs announced that the price of producing patches had gone up, and that they were no longer in the "preferential treatment" area, hence they told us that they were going to try to fix all they could through "hotfixes" instead of "patches". As for snipers, that is the Caldari 'special' weapon. Gallente get Shotguns, Minmitar get Mass Drivers, Amarr get the Laser Rifle, and Caldari have the Sniper Rifle. Everything else though, I would love to see. I'd also like to see two heavy weapons for each race at some point, one for AV and one for AI. Youtube channel

They said the price of such a thing was now too high.
