Kind of one stupid move after another. Poorly chosen programming team from China, they've been OUT PROGRAMMED by a 17 year old kid who was going solo (Unturned, which is basically a copy of Day Z but made from scratch and a basement apparently if what they say is true). They then tried to balance the game, without ever testing their balance changes.... about 5 times, they didn't learn from that at any point, then they announced Legion and lost their update discounts. Now they are stuck doing hotfixes because it costs too much to apply for an update. Short sighted with a hint of laziness. Major downfalls were incoming.
This is so completely wrong on a level I cannot describe other than make believe.

As much money or time. Remember hours don't appear out of thin air; they have to spent one place or another and engineers are very costly and always the lynchpin on every project. Whatever hours we are stealing for dust 514 has to be well worth it.

Prove you were at that meeting then. The "meeting" was called "EvE Fanfest" it's not hard to look around the internet to figure this out. CCP had a one year, recurring, contract which enabled them to push forward patches at lower cost than normal, for the condition that their game was exclusively on the Playstation. Upon announcing LEGION, they lost the ability to claim said contract for the year as the platform exclusivity had been violated. If this "exclusivity" had not been a part of the contract, the Devs would have been able to openly talk about Legion for quite some time prior, such as the conceptualization etc. Or maybe you forgot the comments that were "Laser focused" before? The Devs at that time were forbidden to even spread the rumor that a platform change was in the mix... Then they announced Legion, the Devs announced that the price of producing patches had gone up, and that they were no longer in the "preferential treatment" area, hence they told us that they were going to try to fix all they could through "hotfixes" instead of "patches". I read. I remember.
I asked if you were at that meeting; you speak as though you had some authority. Instead the only thing you continue to prove is that your imagination leads you to making some irrational statements.
I mean have you ever read that contract as well or just pretending.
There are assumptions and there are facts. You're heavily in the assumption field.
