Actually, this guy associates himself with Duna. Additionally, I liken this guy to Taka, so no need to apologize as they are both on the same page. This guy is simply upset / butthurt over the fact that he can no longer go 30 - 0 with a blaster tank. KDR farmers, nothing to see here.
While I'm in agreement that tanks have a VERY limited impact on the field as a whole as a result, and often times are not nearly as useful in competitive environments like PC (Pretty sure a team can go without them, and focus on AV if a team is stupid enough to call them out in bulk), the changes were still needed in the short term. The problem I see is that tanks have basically no role to fulfill on the field other than dealing with other tanks.
But if a tank no longer makes a large impact on the field, why even bother? 2 forms of turrets are solely AV focused, with the 3rd (blaster) now falling more on an AV role. So what's the point? I struggle to find a reason to run them anymore in light of other options available that will have a much larger impact on the field in the long run.
And some may argue, small turrets, but still they don't always have the impact I would like or expect for requiring a second operator (or 3rd). While they can be quite a force on the field with smalls equipped, the sacrifices you make (not to mention the insane costs you add) to your tank just don't seem worth it. I'm talking of course here the PG/CPU limitations you run into trying to equip them, that force you to equip a much smaller tank.
Given changes to AV, this can be VERY costly, and very unreliable when you attempt to face AV. Gunners can be very limited by many factors; movement, hardeners (blinding them basically), LOS, targeting, ect.
Namely though, the cost efficiency and the PG/CPU limiting factors. Now that tanks aren't the murder factories they once were, some serious thought needs to be put into how easily a tank should be able to fit guns on. I'm thinking it needs to be much easier to fit, with less cost overall. It would be nice if I could fit 2 guns and fit for some pretty decent tank to make my tank a force to be reckoned with, at the cost of 3 people running infantry suits.
I think that might be fair given that AV is in a much better spot than before. As it stands now, with my best Tanky tank, I'm still not invincible, tough yes, but easily pushed back by more than one AV user.

If scrub a$$ tankers like you were always right then Dust 514 would have been shut down long time ago because no one would want to play it.
I watched the little video this scrub posted and it was 24 minutes of him being a coward shoot a mini rail turret in an ADS ( side mounted turret not main turret ) and them him trying to tank and getting them both destroyed . Saw no skill in his tanking except him trying to use triple repers on his tank.
To be honest i think Dust is the most balanced it has ever been. Sure it still need some fine tuning, like fixing cloaking and forge gun blanks but it is very well balanced.
I can say this because i have been playing since week 1 of closed beta and i have gone through some whacked out sh!t in this game, when it comes to being unbalanced.

You're 100% right, tankers and ADS flyers are not happy at all, and when it comes to ADS they have every right to be wanting it fixed.
Tankers want their tanks to be a rolling end game where nothing short of a stronger tank can kill them, and to hell with the people who spent weeks and months getting there proto AV gear. What is the point of there being Forge Guns ans Swarm Launchers and AV nades in the game if they are not going to be effective against what they were made for? That is the point that 75% tankers that say tanks need to be buffed do not see, the AV weapons were put in the game so people who don't want to skill into tanks have something they can use against them.
The best part is that if it were only tanks that can destroy other tanks then it comes down to which side gets there maxed out damage rail tank in first, because which ever side does can easily prevent the other team from calling any tanks ot lav or drop ships with their ungodly range.

Im talking about the vid you posted where you were in a ads on side turret then jumped out cause was almost dead, called in a maddy with tripe repers, then called in a gunlogi after maddy was destroyed, then you did't bother to spawn in after that since you didn't want to lose anymore tanks.
What is BS is that you started this thread to cry that since FG skills got fixed you need a buff for your tank, and have yet to post anything that is remotely intelligent. All you have done is cry that you can't go on a 50-60 kill rampage anymore, like as if being in a tank is supposed to be GOD MODE and nothing other then a stronger tank should be able even scratch the paint on your tank.
It should not take 6 people to kill a tank, while it take 1 tank to kill 6 people. tanks vs AV is at its best right now and 99% of the community agrees about that.

It's all about the cost. One full proto minmando w/ proto swarms costs 170k- 220k isk. What does your tank cost? Battle capacity is roughly determined(if the skill of the pilot of either the vehicle or dropsuit is equal) by amount of isk spent. Tankers spend just a hair more than a single infantry for their vehicle yet demand that it takes 4-6 people that will spend at least triple that of the tanker.
Just offer up your tears and/or gtfo.
P.S. I know that ADS are currently getting the shaft. Can't wait for hotfix charlie so I can feel less guilty.

Forge guns should make tankers cringe and we can finally do real damage to tanks again. So suck it pretty boy because i am going to ruin your day especially if your in a tasty tank. Drop ships i have a bit more difficulty with but stay still long enough and i will send you earthward. |

I survived back before the HAV revamps, when you could be insta-ganked by any jackass with AV grenades, and Forges were the Reaper Incarnate, and I was a mid-field tanker not a redline sniper (Except for Manus peak, what a terrible map period though), and I was using a Gunnie which was woefully UP compared to the Maddies of the time.
Today's battlefield may be unbalanced, but it is a lot more forgiving, and you have a bad habit of fixating on a point and slowing down, sacrificing your mobility and speed to "fixate" on someone, allowing anyone to hunt you down with AV.
Change your tactics, and learn to avoid very specific areas of the map depending on the map. Learn the HAV's Ten Commandments, never break them, and you'll do fine.
HAV pilots these days die when they get greedy or act braindead 90% of the time, don't be one of those people.
When I run HAVs with my Corpmate, we run a Missile Gunnie, and rarely lose it.
