CPM hears you and the desire is well known; From vehicle variants to turret variants we want them back or added.
However CCP has a massive shopping list of things they'd like to get done before they start expanding on this manner.
If I had to guess Foxtrot or Golf; no promises of course but echo's features are beginning to get solidified and it seems to be more of a touch up on the most unloved roles again because of hotfixes.
Please do continue to discuss your visions for these potentials however and the cpm will try to convince ccp to get these done soon as logistically/feasibly possible.

Now, how hard would it have been for any ccp dev to just come on here and say what you just said. This thread was created a long time ago and now has 7 pages of people who mostly agree with me. But instead of someone just putting in the thread "were working on it", we get....... Silence. Please understand the frustration here.

to make the point clear to you (since this thread was revived), I was ever given a tactical priority since nobody ever bothered to give me a chance to prove what I can do. secondly, I was always defending the home objective, i was the only guy who ever volunteered to protect it because nobody else would. i stayed behind so i could make sure we had at least one thing for us.
you may never have seen me on the front lines because i was being at a tactical advantage mainly because i was always keeping enemy vehicle behind their own redline thus allowing my own team to push forward without hassle from the enemy vehicles.

Alright, because i have free time and ideas what do you guys think about a long range missile launcher variant that fires in bursts like the old ones. Im thinking increase the range to 300m, less recoil, maybe 50% less splash radius and damage, inreased magazine size(18? 24?) and increased missile velocity. Thoughts? Maybe less direct damage as well.

I would love to see the old tanks back in action. A lot of tankers I know don't tank anymore, Because of blandness of current Tank Meta.

I miss having several rail or missile fittings. Sorry guys, Wasn't much of a blaster tanker. Power of the State yo.
Nowadays, I just have 2 Rail fittings & 2 Missile fittings. One without gunners & one with. Whoop-de-fukin-doo.
Now I fly in my ADSs a lot, But damn, I do miss the good ol' days.
Heck, Things should be way more balanced now than those times. Why not return them?
I really would hop on still just to pilot vehicles if this happened, Cause even know I'm gonna play Destiny -- I love being a Vehicle Specialist on Dust. The Caldari Steel will beckon unto me.

Ive always wanted to fly Logi Dropships, and do more to help the team on the ground. unfortunately i was just getting good with myrons when ccp took Logi ships out of the game. and variety is always a good thing.

Trying to discuss them currently but **** it is hard to really identify and answer the problems. Moreover you have varying levels of intensity in terms of a rebalance.
Some have unrealistic expectations.
Others within reason to too powerful.
Others with more radical suggestions that tankers won't like (me) but always profess to have loved in Chromo and Uprising 1.0-1.6.....
