They will not provide it because their laser focus on PS3 needed a slight adjustment and a different target! A different platform and a different game. Now they want us to move to Legion and expect the same over there. I am not moving, because I expect that they will treat their Legion customers exactly the way they treated us. It will be interesting to see if Legion ever reaches a release quality. For a real game, not a CCP game. EVE is still in beta from what some of my EVE friends have commented. Which may be a joke, not being an EVE player I am not tuned into their jokes. Nobody at CCP cares because we ain't Legionnaires.

We're hoping for something by the end of this week. Here is the thing saberwing. For us dust players there is a disparity between what we consider soon and what CCP considers soon. Many of the playerbase i think is American we are generally not known to be patient. Myself when i am told soon I expect it in a 1-3 day timeframe. CCP seems to think soon = some time within the month. What would be really beneficial would be giving more concrete deadlines. For example rather than saying soon all the time for everything say " We are working on a statement to give the most accurate and concise information, we have groups discussing the options now and plan to be able to release this information by EOB friday the 16th" Statements like this let the playerbase 1: know that there are talks about what is going on and 2: gives us a reasonable expectation of just when we should see more information. Of course REALLY smart would have been to have all this information at the ready before dropping the bomb at fanfest. However after doing a few google searches i have learned that CCP rarely learns from the past.

The player base wasn't given a single clue as to what would transpire. Essentially, this made the player base feel like this whole thing was a demo. Also, play testers. Play testers that pay the company to test their game. A forewarning should have been made. Nope, diehard dust fans expected some update news, or a possible move to the PS4. In addition, I consider the weekly SP bonus cycle the fkn "week" simply b/c it is how it is referred to in every game oriented element (i.e. events). Suddenly the "end of the week" is a normal week. Go figure. Anyway, to the OP. It has been confirmed so many times that they will do zero major updates and only "back end" updates that I have lost hope in any body ever trying to EVER figure stuff out on their own. It's not even a joke. I mean there is an average of over 1 post a day asking this question. Today is the first day I have only seen it once since the announcement of Legion. I don't care what CCP and CPM is alluding too. Don't get excited because it will be another dissapointment for those involved. Play with your friends and make the bset of it with them and then if something cool happens great then if not oh well. BTW, I never got my omega from the effing email. Race, color, language, all of that stuff has nothing to do with what he said. Most people would agree the development team is not good. I still remember getting a patch and guess what my heavy suit was acting like Velcro and getting stuck on everything. The NUMEROUS times that the info on skills and other items was just not correct and some of this led to people having negative SP. Other reasons why people think CCP should of gotten another dev team, the fact that these maps are large but not dense but run just awful, when games like bf3 can have big maps and run smoothly. The fact that you guys do not seem to get the concept of small tweaks on weapons instead it is always outlandish buffs or nerfs. There are so many things that points to having a dev team that is very bad at codding compared to other studios. It disappoints me that people have to bring up the damn race card when someone makes a statement that hurts, but has nothing to do with race. As an example of it going on here in the US, there are a few people that say you're racist if you do not agree with the presidents actions. That is not being racist, being racist is when you bash the race of someone for being that race, not bashing a bad codding dev team that is in a different country. Getting excited over a 3 day Omega booster... Should just tell people "we have a little something to give", that's it. My post was a call to CCP's sanity: LEGION will be a failure - no one will play it on PC (that's just as far as I can gauge). I think their marketing research is super weak. DUST was something that at least had a following - it's both odd and promising enough to win some hearts - but this is only on consoles where this sorta ambitious indi spirit is rare. PC on the other hand is full of failure indi projects and CCP will just add another one to be burried in the pile of the availabe PC alternatives. If CCP played their cards right they would have invested in DUST and still can. The PC is a rather competitive and revolving market with games of almost every flavor coming and going, but I personally wouldn't be worried about the game surviving based on this market alone. The game itself had both a very strong, albeit comically cynical, community along with a steadily improving release and content structure. The game was going along rather fine and I think most people would have been mutually ecstatic if expectations for new content and future improvements were lined up for the summer. Player participation was gradually on the rise and if the game had even teased a few minutely grander ideas like the market, basic PvE, or ship/platform boarding mechanics I have no doubt that the growth would have become far more exponential over time. Dust had (and technically still could have) the potential to achieve critical mass, however the past few weeks have been a summary execution of any of this. I summarized this in a post: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2149970#post2149970 It reminds me of some of the later French Revolutions where very simple measures lined out both by players and leadership to resolve a perceived serious problem fell into chaos because of human tragedy like vision, ambition, and hubris.... Truly unfortunate to see such great news become something utterly terrible. Furthermore Comments like the claims of racism or disdain and disgust of player behavior does not settle riots. Humility and self-sacrifice is what saves a relationship, not short snippy remarks...even when we appear to be wrong. You damaged that relationship CCP, it will never be the same as it once was. But if you want us to be apart of you're future and what's more, see yourselves and these ideas for games grow, you need to accept your own flaws and own up to your mistakes. Accept this and make it heartfelt, and after lets all adapt and overcome. That's why we played Dust 514 anyhow.
