Here is mine: the escalation in rhetoric on my part in particular is in proportion to and in response in to CCP's unethical behavior and abuse of the community that they took on the responsibility to support (albeit not expressedly stated by them). It's really not about the game itself. It's about 'hurt feelings' if you will

I am not moving, because I expect that they will treat their Legion customers exactly the way they treated us. It will be interesting to see if Legion ever reaches a release quality. For a real game, not a CCP game. EVE is still in beta from what some of my EVE friends have commented. Which may be a joke, not being an EVE player I am not tuned into their jokes.
Technically, EVE is still Beta because it constantly receives updates, balances, new content, etc.
You know what else is still in beta? Android, Google Mail, Google Maps, iOS, Windows 8.1, Windows phone......

I am sorry you see it that way. It's easy to dismiss something if you label it 'racism', though. I think people like to use it as a magic word to undermine someone else's arguments. Developers at CCP Shanghai as far as I know have limited experience with video game development outside of Dust. Now I realize this perception still may be incorrect. I realize that my post is 'uncool'. Sorry it comes to this. This harsh language reflects my true thoughts - not a blind insult. I personally like you, you seem like a very good (in the positive sense of the word) PR guy/girl.
Lastly my post is not directed at you, it is aimed at CCP in general as the developer entity - I meant collective 'you'. I am happy to point out why I said things like 'lies' in the first post but I am sure you already know what position I am coming from (I have no intention of aggravating anyone further so I won't). What's important to me is what you (as a company) will do to rectify things.

Thats the worst standard argument from any apologist who basically has no argument. Why dont you call DUST and EVE "just a videogame" to CCP and see how much they will agree with you. To CCP, it is a business and their livelihood, yes. To consumers, it is JUST A VIDEO GAME which doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of life. And if its gonna keep up being a livelyhood for them, its consumers opinions dont count? Gee..what a world you live in.
Of course their customers opinions matter, don't be ridiculous.
Opinions are one thing and should be put forth in a constructive manner as opossed to the pre-pubescent drivel and unreasonable narrow mindedness that fills the vast majority of the Dust GD forum.
Purely from a consumer point of view, video games are a luxury and whilst quite enjoyable, are a low priority item (I say this as a gamer since 1982) so why get all bent out of shape over it? |
