You love her, and she loves you. She even tells you so, and often. You have the greatest time together and you assume that you'll spend the rest of your lives together in blissful happiness.
One day, she comes to you and announces, "I'm moving out of this crappy podunk town because I can't take it here anymore. There's just no opportunities here. There's nothing to do" And then she leaves you high and dry.
You feel devastated of course, and blame her for everything. You even blame her for all the little niggling ways that maybe your relationship wasn't quite as nice as you originally thought, even though deep down you know it really wasn't her fault and that she probably deserves better than you. Still though, you miss her, and really - what does that damn big city have that isn't here in your lovely town anyway?
Then, out of the blue a few days later, she phones you up with a message. She says "You know, about this new town, I love it and I'm going to spend my time working out, and studying and learning all kinds of new culture. In short, I'm going to be getting better and more attractive and interesting to you day by day. Oh, and you can come play with me anytime you like, for free even. Now, if you want to buy me lunch or something, that's nice, but you really don't have to. The only thing is, you have to come to my new town to visit me because I just can't stand it in that little, run down town anymore."

You forgot the part where she lets you spend money on her, all the while telling you to your face that she'll never leave, yet secretly planning to behind your back.
A few weeks before your anniversary, she starts hinting that she has a really big surprise for you, but can't tell you what it is until then.
You're excited and intrigued, so you buy her MORE gifts.
Then, on the day of your anniversary, THAT'S when she springs on you that she's been lying to you the whole time, she's leaving town, and taking all the gifts you've given her, whether you like it ir not. No discussion, you have no say in the matter at all.
She says you can come join her in a couple of years, when she's settled.
Sorry to break it to you, but your girlfriend is a b*tch.

Also, you should probably change that last paragraph to read:
"You sit by the phone and HOPE she calls you..."
because she just left you, but hasn't actually moved yet, so none of that last part has happened. You just hope it will, because you're in denial.
But you sit, and wait for her to call, because she promised she would, and she wouldn't possibly string you along, or lie to you again....
Would she? |

Welcome to Legion.

Some of you guys try so hard, and focus so much on being negative, that one day, you won't know how to look at the world any other way.
