Buster Friently wrote:You love her, and she loves you. She even tells you so, and often. You have the greatest time together and you assume that you'll spend the rest of your lives together in blissful happiness.
One day, she comes to you and announces, "I'm moving out of this crappy podunk town because I can't take it here anymore. There's just no opportunities here. There's nothing to do" And then she leaves you high and dry.
You feel devastated of course, and blame her for everything. You even blame her for all the little niggling ways that maybe your relationship wasn't quite as nice as you originally thought, even though deep down you know it really wasn't her fault and that she probably deserves better than you. Still though, you miss her, and really - what does that damn big city have that isn't here in your lovely town anyway?
Then, out of the blue a few days later, she phones you up with a message. She says "You know, about this new town, I love it and I'm going to spend my time working out, and studying and learning all kinds of new culture. In short, I'm going to be getting better and more attractive and interesting to you day by day. Oh, and you can come play with me anytime you like, for free even. Now, if you want to buy me lunch or something, that's nice, but you really don't have to. The only thing is, you have to come to my new town to visit me because I just can't stand it in that little, run down town anymore."
Welcome to Legion.
So true.
But don't forget that she is going to want a monthly subscription fee from you.
So I guess she's a hooker now.
Just sayin'.

I don't believe free-to-play has been announced.
CCP is a company and AUR sales isn't paying the freight.
EVE is all about subscriptions.
Legion will be, too.
Valkyrie will be, too. (If it isn't already - I'm too lazy to check).
Mark my words.
