You forgot the part where she lets you spend money on her, all the while telling you to your face that she'll never leave, yet secretly planning to behind your back.
A few weeks before your anniversary, she starts hinting that she has a really big surprise for you, but can't tell you what it is until then.
You're excited and intrigued, so you buy her MORE gifts.
Then, on the day of your anniversary, THAT'S when she springs on you that she's been lying to you the whole time, she's leaving town, and taking all the gifts you've given her, whether you like it ir not. No discussion, you have no say in the matter at all.
She says you can come join her in a couple of years, when she's settled.
Sorry to break it to you, but your girlfriend is a b*tch.
You can do better. |

Also, you should probably change that last paragraph to read:
"You sit by the phone and HOPE she calls you..."
because she just left you, but hasn't actually moved yet, so none of that last part has happened. You just hope it will, because you're in denial.
But you sit, and wait for her to call, because she promised she would, and she wouldn't possibly string you along, or lie to you again....
Would she? |

I really don't try very hard at all.
You call it being negative, I call it being realistict. I call it as I see it.
Unfortunately, real life isn't always sunshine and unicorns, like in your little romance novels. |

"Destiny" sounds like a stripper name, "Legion" sounds more like something you'd catch from a stripper. |

Surt gods end wrote:Using a girl as analogy for dust514 / legion. That's kinda sad.. You could have used something better like
"I love my pet cat, but he pisses and ***** everywhere so we had no choice but to give it up for adoption and hope for the best"
LMAO!

I call it as I see it. Yep. making my point for me. Anyway, the point here with the entire thread is to point out how silly this whole thing is. You guys are really acting like love-spurned 13 year olds :)
Then why keep bringing it up? YOU made the new thread, not us. In fact, the angry threads have been gradually dieing off all week (mainly because so many people have quit, but still).
Don't you Legion cheerleaders have your own forum now? Why keep coming here, reading the remaining angry threads, if it bothers you so much?
To contiue your little "girlfriend" analogy:
Now she's dating your oblivious, insensitive friend and, every time you start to think you're over her and can move on with your life, that dumbass keeps bringing her around, showing her off and bragging about how good she's looking since she's been working out, saying stupid crap like "Hey, didn't you two used to date? Why did the two of you ever break up, anyway" which only re-opens the old wounds, and then rubs salt in them.

That was 12 years ago and until now I still consider myself partially immature. Lol. Then she decided to go back to her ex. But the analogy is great! Nice...
Been there.
You shouldn't blame yourself. The first warning sign should have been that she left her ex for you in the first place.
Sounds like she was the one with the commitment issues. |
