It may seem like the same old rhetoric, but I am being genuine and I really hope in time you'll understand where I'm coming from. :) Is this a new, thoughtful, more grounded CCP Shanghai/Dust 514 team? If this is what you guys are planning at Fanfest--discussing real, upcoming and executable changes for Dust--then you can count me in, and I'm sure the rest of us in as well!
I guess it might just be cuz of the new EP, hopefully they don't throw all their money at trailers like last year.

I hope you are right. I really do. The lower quality of modeling for the latest suits and the big QA fail in 1.8 really destroyed my confidence. Quality seems to be heading in the wrong direction. I'm holding out for FanFest for both EVE and DUST before I leave New Eden for good.

I complain about Dust quite often. And I beat on CCP, both Mothership and Shanghai. Persistently.
This is because I feel that Dust is not a good game anymore. Previously I felt it was a good game with signs of greatness. Now, its mediocre on a good day. A day that I don't lose an expensive forge gun because it didn't fire actually rounds or a tank for much the same reason. And the signs of the future read pay to win. Good luck to New Belles.
I only play Dust to play online with my friends. Some of them are quite funny when they rage, so there is that.
And so it goes.

I was very excited when this gam first came out. I have almost lost all hope. 2 weeks after 1.8 and the bugs havent been fixed. What makes you think that this game will get better anytime soon? 4 months into 2014 and just 1 update full of bugs that mainly introduced suits that should have been included the game came out of "beta" last year. |

I have to agree with the running feeling in here. Having been here for nearly a year now, and having read and watched videos of earlier Dust versions before I arrived, I wonder myself where Dust is heading.
There's two main things keeping me here yet. The first is all of the guys in my corp group, as they make playing matches fun. The second is all of the money I've sunk into this game. I've already put hundreds of dollars into Dust (probably way over 1m AUR by now) and if I don't start to see more active development ideas that don't take 3/4 a year to put out, I'm going to stop buying stuff.
I seriously hope CCP revitalizes Dust, because as far as I'm concerned, 1.7 (and the majority of Uprising) was a huge disaster and just adding a bunch of extra suits isn't going to fix that.
Always the last person to leave. Always the one cleaning up people's messes.

Do not expect to be wowed ,it is better to go in there with real low expectations so that way you wont be disappointed. And this is coming from a guy who defended this game since 2012 but left. I do hope a ps4 version is confirmed i mean if they dont want a crap ass buggy game they have to upgrade. I honestly believe the ps3 is holding this game back i mean look at bf3 vs bf4. bf3 can hold only 16 vs 16 battles while bf4 can hold 32 vs 32 battles. CCP i do hope you understand trying to keep updating a game on piece of crap hardware is only going to cause more problems.

I was so excited when I got the beta key towards the end of summer 2012. I was disappointed because I saw nothing that connected this game to EVE, I barely played but I started playing more around the chromosme build. I even made an EVE account for awhile. Over time that link has gotten better but barely, Uprising has mostly been a very disappointing build, while we were impressed from their preview at fanfest and it was interesting to play it for the first month. And even through all the updates more problems kept popping up, dust 514 has stayed as a lobby shooter for way too long. No one right now should call this an MMO-FPS.

Tiers already promote the idea of pay to win and a lot of the forum peoples suggestions and attitudes actually come really close to wanting pay to win Think of all the guys that say "Of course it should take multiple people to kill someone in proto because it costs more"

Ya 1.8 has sort made me wonder if they even thought about releasing the rest of the heavies this year. Not sure if they've been occupied with something else that's awesome or their development team is just that slow which wouldn't be a surprise. It's made me worried even more which isn't good since I've been worried about the games future for a very long already. The communication in CCP Shanghai doesn't seem to be very good, and neither does their programming.

I'm only looking for one thing at Fanfest 2014:
Concrete evidence that changes are being made to the development process to establish the groundwork for faster, more logical changes to the game as a whole (rather than the see-saw motion of buffing/nerfing back and forth). Suffice to say, I'll be incredibly disappointed if I see presentations of a bunch of new content that will only exacerbate the problems we're already having with the content we do have by way of adding more work-load to tackle and potentially break.
As I said on Twitter, Fanfest 2014 is going to be a make-or-break for many of us.

It is the same old rhetoric. It's not our problem as to where you're coming from. You have to understand where we're coming from! Don't bite the hand that feeds you! Constructive manner? LOL I laugh at that! It's all perspective! You Devs deserve EVERY criticism that comes at you! Don't care if you were not here last year. Not our problem. You're wearing the colors of CCP, therefore it does matter to YOU! Stop sweeping crap under the carpet and step up and take responsibility and stop passing the bucket!
Also, what you should be saying is that "We do not wish to overextend and overpromise as BEFORE". Dust is not only a game, it's also a business. I wonder if the stakeholders of CCP ever reads the forum. They should. Don't think much of the devs would be working there if they did. Stakeholders don't want hear excuses. They want results!

Same for me, CCP has to show us that the this terrible wait through Uprising was worth it. And that they didn't decide to throw away all their money for that statue they're making for EVE.

past CCP promises resulted in goof up after goof up after goof up
the only question is will CCP deliver at fanfest? and thus we keep dust 514 as a once in a while game?
or CCP fails at fanfest and its Playstation 4 games only?
the question then is if I and others are busy with Destiny, Doom , The Division, Deep Down , Warframe, Planetside 2, Blacklight, Dying Light, Elder Scrolls, The Witcher 3, et all
Then what reason to play dust 514 ????????
Hey CCP get a PS4 client

I have to agree. Fanfest is going to be a big benchmark for me in this game as to where Dust is going. I like the whole idea behind Dust, and I actually like the game format itself, but it needs to be significantly expanded. If we all keep going with this constant back and forth nerf hammer and super buffing crap like with vehicles and certain guns though, this person will eventually leave as well. I was really fully supportive of Dust until the 1.7 disaster.
I don't have a PS4 as I'm waiting for prices to come down, bugs to be worked out, and more content to come out, but I have more than enough games to keep me occupied until then outside of Dust if necessary.
Always the last person to leave. Always the one cleaning up people's messes.

you may want to refrase it in a manner in wich you will actually get a useful responce.
things like
"how satisfied are you guys with the progress you have made in the development of dust this far"
"what are you guys doing to bring the game closer to the vision presented at the games inception"
ya know things that sound thought out and somewhat intellegent, things that any good marketing team would jump on to answer.
THIS is what you need to do. Tell them the banana represents their game.

People forgetting stuff like Paintbucket, Player market, Gun Customization, and the Vita app? lol these things CCP made it sound like they're right there and ready to be released.
Again I say Fanfest is just another platform that CCP can sell people pipedreams on about DUST.
Something as mundane in EVERY shooter... gun customization, adding different sights... 2 years DUST has none of that. Just SMH at the shortcomings of this game.
Call me a hater, call me a bitter vet, IDGAF, I played this game for a long time, invested time and money into it, and CCP delivered next to nothing. Took 2 years to get all the heavy suits... like is that a joke? Not a single new heavy weapon, maybe another 2 years huh?
I'll be watching Fanfest, and eagerly await to see of someone has the balls to ask the real questions. I doubt it though, but I can hope.

"There there Mr. Heavy, it's not your fault CCP doesn't care about you"
