I've grown quite lethargic when it comes to this game.

If the actual meat and potatoes of the Fanfest build doesn't blow me away, I will likely lose what little faith I have left in this project, which makes me really sad to say.

couldnt agree more, your not alone. im sticking around the forums till fanfest and when im inevitably dissapointed im done for good. at least for a decade until the game is remotely playable

same, just hoping for Fanfest to be awesome.

I want nothing more than for this game to thrive, but I've felt for far too long that this game is nothing more than a side project to CCP, and I as a paying customer have felt anywhere from disappointed to straight up insulted more times than I care to admit.

I've watched countless amazingly well thought out and calculated posts / discussions just disappear into the void with little more than a 'ooh that's interesting' from a blue, to the point where I have lost all desire to provide constructive feedback anymore. For the sake of the love I had for this game, I do not actively bash it or talk down to it, but I have stopped making content, I've stopped talking about it, I've stopped promoting and generally playing it.

Right now, it's just not worth the frustration. It feels completely divorced from EVE an entirely devoid of direction, and until I feel like CCP is taking the game seriously, I will not waste any more time and energy on it.

The ball is in CCP's court, now we can only wait.

Pretty disappointed that there isn't anything for our DUST mercs on the Twitch HD stream this year. any chance something will be thrown in before FF gets here

What do you mean? Why wouldn't CCP be showing anything for Dust at fanfest? Or are u talking about people getting stuff for paying for the HD stream thingy on twitch.

He means that CCP is giving special in-game items for EVE Capsuleers who subscribed to their HD stream but there are no Dust-related bonuses

Honestly, I don't understand why they make such sweeping, unkeepable promises at fanfest. We're already playing the game, you don't have to sell it twice. Just give us some realistic projections, maybe a neat little trinket to look at(like you teased with cloaks before the beta ended last year.) and for the most part, we'll be happy.

You don't have to promise crap that you realistically can't get done with your "we need 20 days a month off" schedules because in the end, that hurts you by making us doubt your every move.

I've never once seen a game with vets as bitter as ours.

thats becuz alot of us came to this game because we heard of the concept and the promise that CCP is "different" from other devs and they communicate and listen to their community and all that jibberish

in the 2 years i was actively playing DUST has not progressed its gone sideways and slightly backwards not forward
Skirmish 1.0 was alot better than the "improved" skirmish 2.0 and skirmish 1.0 would of made sense in PC , ccp goin backwards.

Gladiator arenas with EVE side betting on matches to be 1st expansion for DUST? who remembers this pipedream?

for the person who said gun customization not important id disagree, it adds depth and variety to the game
DUST guns were suppose to have mod slots as well that was talked about another pipedream

instead u have 3 diff guns to buy from the marketplace which are just sight, fire rate variations which a gun customization feature would of solved and done a much better job of

After reading the rest of this thread I see why CCP keeps this farce going.

How is it that people who have been here for more than a year are STILL giving CCP money? Do you people not understand that rewarding them for bad behaviour does not motivate them to good results?

I pretty much shut my wallet to SHanghai after Uprising dropped. It was just too much BS for all the hype they built up.

I just reactivated some of my Eve accounts, and I very quickly realized that playing Dust as it is now is just a huge pain in my ass.

I log on for PCs, and I AFK my fatty alt until they fix the skill bug.

More than likely I will biomass my toons after fanfest if the announcement is bad. Which I fully expect.

I might jump the gun though if the alleged hotfix to the skills bug doesn't show up.

1.8 is a blast, i love what you guys have managed to balance out since 1.7.
Wish you guys would work a bit more on processing information to the community though.

The bugs in 1.8 are vast but proportional to the content you guys provided. Im glad that the patch was released in due time before dust was bleeding out.
I really enjoy the new approach in 1.8 even though i was dead scared how cloaking mechanism will alter the game play. The cloaking mechanics have made the game much more challenging and once balanced out, a really great addition.
You did an amazing thing there with the Commando, i never thought they would actually ever be useful in game.
Hope exploits will be dealt a bit quicker in future. Some exploits like lag bombs have been around for far too long.

Cant wait for PCQ 2.0 and more integration to the EVE universe. And i wishPCQ battles will run smoothly again for players all over the world whereever they are located.
Hope the EVE part will soon have a greater impact on Dust, start producing suits for the dust mercs and ripe a benefit from PCQ and feel more encouraged to interact with dust players.
Cant wait to watch alliance and corp eve ships battling each other in orbit while we are waiting for deployment in the war barge.
Hope the ps4 will soon make things happen we barely dreamed of for dust.

Make sure to party hard on fan fest and celebrate what you have accomplished so far.
I have to find a way to grap me a ticket to celebrate along with you folks and with the gallente chicks.

I'd echo Ghosts Chance's thoughts here and urge you to get your thoughts across in a constructive manner. What I will say is that we do not wish to overextend and overpromise. We look forward to discussing things that are real possibilities for DUST, and I feel incredibly optimistic with the new direction and guidance the development team has been working under.

It may seem like the same old rhetoric, but I am being genuine and I really hope in time you'll understand where I'm coming from. :)

Maybe not, if our characters stats are gonna be transferred and maybe the isk you've got right now. It's Dust 514 still but better and seems like it'll develop so much faster. I think they said they've only been working on Legion for a few months, if that's true we might just get a beta sometime this year.

Did your corp know something about this? ya know, Rise of Legion and all?

I dont care how much faster its developed, if they had used their resources for dust rather than for another project they could have made dust even better, and with the development on the console generations even greater.

The pc is an entirely different target group of players.
My Corp and my alliance are made of mostly Console players.
I kissed my PC good bye just because of the privacy invasion, hacking, exploitation, cheats, driver problems/ceasing support.
I was glad that dust was released on a console.
Now all this will come back to Legion.
People who can cope and afford time and money into PC gaming might enjoy the transition of dust.
But then there are much more entertaining alternatives on the PC FPS and MMO market.
I would even consider spekking into a new PC hardware, if i wasnt directing a corp and alliance of players being part of a community that have been shitted upon ruthlessly.

Nope, even though we were among the first entering PCQ and capturing the first districts, being given a dev blog on the dust side, CCP never tryed to convey any information to representatives of the larger alliances.
Even by now we dont know who was "representing" the "dust community" and managed to screw up this game and its future perspective so bad that it came this far.
