I don't care anymore. This game is nothing like it was in 2009 and unless I see something big at fanfest I'm not coming back. And lol OP I wouldnt know where to begin with all the mistakes made by ccp. I definitely couldn't fit it in one question.

I never said I wasn't stubborn. While I no longer play there's still some good that can be done if ccp listens before I give up on it completely because it'll never be what it could have or should have been. Ccp has until fanfest to wow me before my account sits idle for ten years and I'll come back then to see what they do with it. Uprising is just more beta as far as I'm concerned.

EVE is solid and beautiful but after 7 years I'm done. I like being a solo and very small group guy in a big, busy universe. The PVE aspects are very shallow and boring after you've been around for a while. Industry is over saturated. Mining is mind numbing. Exploration is still horribly boring and repetitive. Planetary interaction is only interesting for a week at best. I had hopes with Incarna but the vocal players revolted at it's very thought. All my friends have already moved on. I had hopes for DUST. It was a chance to explore different aspect of New Eden. I was being patient while CCP found its way but quality is declining and communication is still bad. The concept for DUST has been scaled down to a lobby shooter that still hasn't delivered very much. I love the New Eden IP but CCP has a history of failing to deliver. The reason EVE hasn't had a failed release lately is that they have scaled back their plans so far that they are polished but boring. What am I waiting for at FanFest? EVE may be presenting their big stargate building project. I doubt I'll be playing it much though but I'll still watch all the presentations. I'll be surprised if DUST actually presents anything decent and if they do I have low confidence that they can implement it properly. I hope they show PVE and multistage battles. They need long running battles that interact more with EVE but we'll not be seeing that on PS3. Basically, I'm shopping around for a replacement world but Star Citizen is probably 2 years away and nothing else seems interesting.
Don't blame the players over incarna. We wanted walking in stations. Not 70$ monocles and a bunch of microtransactions.
Ccp screwed up incarna and now we don't get ambulation because ccp apparently can't tell the difference between walking in stations and nickel & dime'ing people.

No more "capture the Titan" thing? I was pretty hyped last year :(
that was a terrible idea tbh capture the station i can get behind but capture the titan. well the eve player in me is frightened by it. a titan is a personal asset, a station is a corp/alliance asset. I agree the titan idea is terrible. I really don't think people have any clue just how ridiculously massive they are. It would take a team the size of CCP Shanghai decades to model the interior of just one titan, and there are 4 of them. It would take up terrabytes of disk space for the maps. You could have a 200 player battle and not find an enemy for days. The only realistic way to do this would be to make the map 0.01% of the size of the ship, and really, if you're going to do that, what the hell is the point? See my sig for a much better solution for fighting in space with EVE players. titans are only a kilometer long you'd want a lav too cross one... or a functional tram system. but it wouldn't be too massive. Ahem, we're talking Titans here, not Battleships.
That doesn't mean they're just hollow 10mile long football stadiums. They have a doomsday weapon, basically have to be their own jumpgate, all that has to be run through systems. Engines to push the thing along and then it has to have all the modules.
An Erebus only has a 16,000 cubic meter cargo bay which isn't alot. An imicus takes up 21,000 We can only estimate how wide titans are and they're length isn't the entirety of a map. it could easily be down to a map we have now made 2/3 times larger. Only real problem is making an accurate layout and texturing a labrinth of corridors. idk how accurate it is on eve wiki or wear they got the figure from but it says there a Titan crew minimum is 6000-10000 That's around aircraft carrier size. Only were gonna hollow more of it out overhead for tanks if they're allowed and we aren't going to be exploring every inch of the ship room by room.
Realistically it'd be infantry only unless the common areas were large enough for vehicles which would be funny seeing tanks fight in giant mess halls which I don't think would be wise. It's entirely possible though to make happen. 200 vs 200 would be really cluttered for a 2000 meter long narrow map. It'd be more like 64 vs 64 cqc

If the actual meat and potatoes of the Fanfest build doesn't blow me away, I will likely lose what little faith I have left in this project, which makes me really sad to say.
couldnt agree more, your not alone. im sticking around the forums till fanfest and when im inevitably dissapointed im done for good. at least for a decade until the game is remotely playable
