I have to agree with the running feeling in here. Having been here for nearly a year now, and having read and watched videos of earlier Dust versions before I arrived, I wonder myself where Dust is heading.
There's two main things keeping me here yet. The first is all of the guys in my corp group, as they make playing matches fun. The second is all of the money I've sunk into this game. I've already put hundreds of dollars into Dust (probably way over 1m AUR by now) and if I don't start to see more active development ideas that don't take 3/4 a year to put out, I'm going to stop buying stuff.
I seriously hope CCP revitalizes Dust, because as far as I'm concerned, 1.7 (and the majority of Uprising) was a huge disaster and just adding a bunch of extra suits isn't going to fix that.

Something like "we're not going to hype you all with wonderful things and concepts, but we'll show you the things we're actually working on". I assure you what we're showing at Fanfest is going to be things we're actively working on. I wasn't here for last years Fanfest so I don't wish to comment on anything before my tenure. But I know that the things being presented this year are at the forefront of our minds and we're working hard at bringing them to fruition. It's not easy to ask for patience, I understand that. But I have complete faith in CCP Rouge, the team and our direction - and I truly hope you'll be along for the ride. :) Have an awesome weekend guys! I'm only looking for one thing at Fanfest 2014: Concrete evidence that changes are being made to the development process to establish the groundwork for faster, more logical changes to the game as a whole (rather than the see-saw motion of buffing/nerfing back and forth). Suffice to say, I'll be incredibly disappointed if I see presentations of a bunch of new content that will only exacerbate the problems we're already having with the content we do have by way of adding more work-load to tackle and potentially break. As I said on Twitter, Fanfest 2014 is going to be a make-or-break for many of us.
I have to agree. Fanfest is going to be a big benchmark for me in this game as to where Dust is going. I like the whole idea behind Dust, and I actually like the game format itself, but it needs to be significantly expanded. If we all keep going with this constant back and forth nerf hammer and super buffing crap like with vehicles and certain guns though, this person will eventually leave as well. I was really fully supportive of Dust until the 1.7 disaster.
I don't have a PS4 as I'm waiting for prices to come down, bugs to be worked out, and more content to come out, but I have more than enough games to keep me occupied until then outside of Dust if necessary.
