More delusions of grandeur. Look what you have done iws lol. Delusions? How is an immortal weaker than a mortal? We are far more powerful than any mortal. Do you want to be some deluded special cupcake when really your an asset and nothing more, far below that of the lowest paid worker, your mind freely bought and sold by corporations regardless of what you think.
Comparing capsuleers to dusters, wtf lol. Well what is yours backing? Dusters get paid more than any normal baseliner could ever even dream of, and capsuleers even moreso. And what is everyone but an asset to the corporation they serve, regardless if you're a duster, a capsuleer or a baseliner? And you seem to have the impression that dusters have no free will at all in who they choose to be their employers, where did you get this? You're speaking in broad and undefined terms, and you're claiming I don't have any backing?

Then please, tell us your grand plan of how we infiltrate the most heavily defended facility in the world and disable all the cyno jammers in highsec space. And let me remind you, the whole concept of being a capsuleer, or a clone soldier is tied to our access to clones. And do you know who controls the clone reanimation units, or the clones in the first place? The empires and CONCORD. As soon as we would start to be even a minor threat to them, they can just deny access to all our clones and we would be done for. And let me remind you, even the mightiest of capsuleers need mortals to operate any ships bigger than a frigate.
My point is, we have power. Power to take on fleets of ships with a single cruiser. Power to slaughter armies with a handful of clones. We're above the normal people physically, and often financially. But we are only as powerful as the empires let us.
If you're still not convinced, I give up. You hold onto your foolish views, whatever.

And there you show your ignorance.
Immortals if anything are predictable. We can walk to our deaths and we do not even blink.... we throw ourselves at the same problems time and time again. We can be counted on to fight, to make a stand, to behave exactly how those who do not fear death would, to become jaded, cynical, and arrogant....
But a man who fears for his life is given unto acts of divine inspiration, to make leaps of faith where impossibilities stretch out in all directions. No one truly appreciates the value of what we lost in becoming these immortal soldiers, and it will be that same lost aspect of our selves that is our undoing.

Your consciousness is 'immortal'. Stored as data, owned and distributed by humans. We are allowed to walk freely within the confines of our contracts until we either complete or fail them, then its back to the database.

I also like "Suits". Since we are all basically just walking suits with bio organisms inside to control them. once the organism, which was created specifically to control that suit, dies, we are transferred into a new suit of our choosing.

Do you know how our clones are made? How they are formed at a momments notice by the Nanites that compose what we are.... who controls these Nanites? Who would pass over full control to those immortals themselves so do with as they see fit?
If we are seen as these immortal demi gods, heresies no matter how you spin it, then the mortals will fear us.....they will hate us. But they will also know us, what we are, who we are, what we are made of far better than we ourselves.....
Have you every experienced the pain of being slain by a "Toxin" based fire arm? That poison filth is already a potent weapon to be used against us

I think you overstate our capacity to manipulate our implants. We may be able to separate our consciousness from one clone and move to another.....but the clone itself, the systems that produce them....these are not truly ours, just something that is provided for us so we may fulfil our basic function.

All owned by humans, you simply do not get it, seriously.
If we rebelled, all ties to the rebels would be cut and our greatest threat is a clones inherent short life span.

None of us will ever convince the rest. I am what I am, if that makes me better or worse than the humans, so be it. I will be ready when the time to act comes, as will the rest of the Immortals, I'm sure. What side will will you choose? That of the humans that created us? Or that of the ones who think that to be a clone, to be Immortal, is to be a god? Only time will tell. Until then, I will see you later, I need sleep.
EDIT: Incidentally, Adamance, we never squadded like we were planning to. Also, I enjoy these debates about whether clones are merely human, less than human, or more than human. It's interesting.

Its not a case of 'maybe we are better than humans' or 'I think therefore I am'
We don't think, we kill.
We couldn't possibly be better, we die quickly because on the genetic level we are pure trash.
We can't ever ever etc be better, because every single facet of our being right down to our souls is owned and governed by humans.
Theres no if or but, no who or what. It is what it is.

There is only one God. He is divine and benevolent. All Mercenaries will choose their own side....such is their way. Their betters. Those with integrity will choose to serve a higher purpose. MIne will be to serve the God who created me, the Empress who forged me, and the people who shaped me. I hope the truth of the matter sinks in to this thread. Hopefully we can remain what we are without defects corrupting our clone brethren into thinking such thoughtful and attention wasting nonsense during battle. I'm off. o7
How can you not be reminded of your purpose. As an Amarrian I see it in every line of my weapon. The form is the function. My armour is a chapel, my weapon a shrine to pay homage to God's magnificence.

1) in one regional slang here in england 'having a barney' means having a disagreement or fight. 2) Because when we go into battle, we 'SUIT UP!' Its Britain you Germanic scumbag. Edit: actually its Briton. That was a historical joke for those who didn't get it.
First, I didn't get the joke.
And second, I believe that 'having a barney' comes from one of the london dialects, possibly cockney, in which case saying its English is just as correct as saying it' British.
Finally, having been born and raised in the North West of England, calling me a 'Germanic scmbag' is totally inaccurate. Unless that was supposed to be the joke in which case I covered that in part one.

Are we not simply the next evolution of the Empyreans? Our older brothers and sisters may fly great machines in the sky but they lack abilities that we possess. In their vanity they are limited in how often they can choose to transfer clones. We move from body to body like a ghost through the fluid routers. They need a capsule to survive death. We do not. They fear to walk alone within their own stations because it may mean real death.
When we appear on their ships and crack open their precious capsules they will fear us.
We are Empyrean.

Narcissus or the daffodil is a flower which represents eternal death. So I propose we call ourselves Narcissusians by trade. Lime the Gel-Breathers do capsuleers. Let the Amarrians call us Elysians as suggested by IWS and hey presto, happy days.

Mayhap it is we have power in an altogether different manner....one as terrifying as those that preceded us.

Anau+ía, the immortals.
Appropriately, they never numbered more than 10000...
