If we wanted, if the capsuleers and mercenaries set aside our petty squabbles for a short time, we could rule this galaxy. We are the true power now. Right up until the point CONCORD shows up and blows every single capsuleer ship into oblivion. CONCORD has cyno-jammed every single empire system to oblivion, making it impossible for anything larger than a battleship to enter, and CONCORD has shown that they are an unmatched power. They may be immortal, but overall there might around 500,000 capsuleers and clone soldiers, in comparison to trillions upon trillions of civilians and soldiers. Even with the power we have, our odds of beating them are very slim. ....How do you figure that? We are immortal, and are worth more than an entire platoon by ourselves. The capsuleers just need someone to take down CONCORD's HQ... which is where us mercs come in. I'm sorry, but the fact that mortals are a match for immortals makes me laugh. No. Just no. More delusions of grandeur. Look what you have done iws lol. Delusions? How is an immortal weaker than a mortal? We are far more powerful than any mortal. A small group of us can take down an entire army of mortal soldiers, usually without a single casualty, or maybe a handful of clones.
More powerful than a platoon of soldiers? Surely you do not believe that mortal militaries do not already have countermeasures against our kind? Means of operating heavier calibre weapons, vehicles and control units that would lock down our clone stores and weapons supplies?
It seems to me that you think all clone soldier will support your coup d'+¬tat......
I would stand against you and all like you to preserve the fragile balances of power our four nations hold, and the might and grandeur of my faith. Scum like you think they can own the galaxy.....but it is not yours to take. God gifted to the peoples of the Amarr to rule under the heavens for all time.

Luna Angelo wrote: And if we create our own clones? We don't have to live under the heels of CONCORD and the Empires forever, mortals are nothing if not predictable. Mortals, over time, will always get to the point where they let their defences lapse. Us immortals are constantly in battle in some form or another. We will never allow that. It may take hundreds of years, but it will happen. And I will be ready. The question is, will you back a failing political power or join the real power?
And there you show your ignorance.
Immortals if anything are predictable. We can walk to our deaths and we do not even blink.... we throw ourselves at the same problems time and time again. We can be counted on to fight, to make a stand, to behave exactly how those who do not fear death would, to become jaded, cynical, and arrogant....
But a man who fears for his life is given unto acts of divine inspiration, to make leaps of faith where impossibilities stretch out in all directions. No one truly appreciates the value of what we lost in becoming these immortal soldiers, and it will be that same lost aspect of our selves that is our undoing.

I understand, but I have a feeling, you are in the minority here. We are the future, the mortals and their ways are the past. I'm including your god in that, just so you know, as immortals don't need a god or heaven. Why would I care about a promise of everlasting life? I am immortal, I already have everything your god promises. What else does he offer? Your consciousness is 'immortal'. Stored as data, owned and distributed by humans. We are allowed to walk freely within the confines of our contracts until we either complete or fail them, then its back to the database. Our consciousness is who we are, not the body that we do or do not have. I fail to see how my argument and yours are mutually exclusive items.
Do you know how our clones are made? How they are formed at a momments notice by the Nanites that compose what we are.... who controls these Nanites? Who would pass over full control to those immortals themselves so do with as they see fit?
If we are seen as these immortal demi gods, heresies no matter how you spin it, then the mortals will fear us.....they will hate us. But they will also know us, what we are, who we are, what we are made of far better than we ourselves.....
Have you every experienced the pain of being slain by a "Toxin" based fire arm? That poison filth is already a potent weapon to be used against us

Again, we could just jump to a new clone. Also, our first clone, the one in our merc quarters is a long-life clone, we could just get another one of those when it ages.
I think you overstate our capacity to manipulate our implants. We may be able to separate our consciousness from one clone and move to another.....but the clone itself, the systems that produce them....these are not truly ours, just something that is provided for us so we may fulfil our basic function.

Or that of the ones who think that to be a clone, to be Immortal, is to be a god? Only time will tell. Until then, I will see you later, I need sleep.
No man, immortal or otherwise can become a God. There is only one God. He is divine and benevolent.
All Mercenaries will choose their own side....such is their way.
Their betters. Those with integrity will choose to serve a higher purpose. MIne will be to serve the God who created me, the Empress who forged me, and the people who shaped me.

Hopefully we can remain what we are without defects corrupting our clone brethren into thinking such thoughtful and attention wasting nonsense during battle. I'm off. o7
How can you not be reminded of your purpose. As an Amarrian I see it in every line of my weapon. The form is the function. My armour is a chapel, my weapon a shrine to pay homage to God's magnificence.

Reav Hannari wrote:Are we not simply the next evolution of the Empyreans? Our older brothers and sisters may fly great machines in the sky but they lack abilities that we possess. In their vanity they are limited in how often they can choose to transfer clones. We move from body to body like a ghost through the fluid routers. They need a capsule to survive death. We do not. They fear to walk alone within their own stations because it may mean real death.
When we appear on their ships and crack open their precious capsules they will fear us.
We are Empyrean.
Mayhap it is we have power in an altogether different manner....one as terrifying as those that preceded us.

As for the caldari I propose the word "Rasetsu" - a type of demon or unrighteous spirit that subsists mostly off of violence and has a lot of connotations towards being an eater of human flesh or a drinker of blood and as par for most spirit creatures in Asian myth is notoriously hard to kill and supremely skilled with weapons being more or less an incarnation of violence.
Collectively all would fall under the word 'immortal' By a significant margin possibly the best answer to this question yet.

How about nobody for a single merc and nobodies for the plural. Seems we are considered lesser by all new Eden. And we technicaly have no body.
Well not original body provising we did not keep it alive via life support or some other artificial means...however that begs the more philosophical question, even if all the component parts of our body as replaced, is this still our own body...or a new one entirely.... does the mind or location thereof affect that distinction?

Bullshit. The MInmatar don't believe in anything close to the Omnissiah, one true god of machines, nor do they made STC construction quality gear. You do realise the Adeptus Mechanicus are a hyper religious organisation, take optimal care of their machines, see form as function.....
You'd never see rust on their machines.
Orkz be rusty, they are tribal, they prefer projectile weapons, they are ingenious at making weapons of war, they are lightly armoured.
Minmatar be da gitz!
