Vanguards perhaps? It seems that the Empires send us first, anyways, then the mortal soldiers to clean up, so Vanguard makes sense.

That said, I stand by Vanguard.

They only care about humans because they are human. We are not. Why do I care if the ants are in my way?

Infoscum
Copies.
Infomorph.
Subpars.
These are more fitting regardless of anyone's deluded sense of honour or respectful attitudes in dust. How are capsuleers any different? They commit mass slaughter every day in the name of profit, they are equally worried about losing their precious spaceships. They are only copies as well, and also infomorphs. They might have more ISK and have more firepower, but this is only within their own closed capsuleer circles. In the grand scheme of things, the Empires still hold the ultimate power. Unless you plan on calling capsuleers with equal terms, you're being too radical. The extreme cynicism TechMech shows, and the overglorified power Luna claims are both too radical. We're soldier, not gods, not scum unworthy of the air we breathe, we're simply mercenaries. Overglorified power? We are immortal. Even the police force that governs us is mortal. If we wanted, if the capsuleers and mercenaries set aside our petty squabbles for a short time, we could rule this galaxy. We are the true power now.

Right up until the point CONCORD shows up and blows every single capsuleer ship into oblivion. CONCORD has cyno-jammed every single empire system to oblivion, making it impossible for anything larger than a battleship to enter, and CONCORD has shown that they are an unmatched power. They may be immortal, but overall there might around 500,000 capsuleers and clone soldiers, in comparison to trillions upon trillions of civilians and soldiers. Even with the power we have, our odds of beating them are very slim. ....How do you figure that? We are immortal, and are worth more than an entire platoon by ourselves. The capsuleers just need someone to take down CONCORD's HQ... which is where us mercs come in. I'm sorry, but the fact that mortals are a match for immortals makes me laugh.

More delusions of grandeur. Look what you have done iws lol. Delusions? How is an immortal weaker than a mortal? We are far more powerful than any mortal. A small group of us can take down an entire army of mortal soldiers, usually without a single casualty, or maybe a handful of clones.

Do you want to be some deluded special cupcake when really your an asset and nothing more, far below that of the lowest paid worker, your mind freely bought and sold by corporations regardless of what you think.
Comparing capsuleers to dusters, wtf lol. Well what is yours backing? Dusters get paid more than any normal baseliner could ever even dream of, and capsuleers even moreso. And what is everyone but an asset to the corporation they serve, regardless if you're a duster, a capsuleer or a baseliner? And you seem to have the impression that dusters have no free will at all in who they choose to be their employers, where did you get this? You're speaking in broad and undefined terms, and you're claiming I don't have any backing? Luna Angelo wrote:....How do you figure that? I'm sorry, but the fact that mortals are a match for immortals makes me laugh. Then please, tell us your grand plan of how we infiltrate the most heavily defended facility in the world and disable all the cyno jammers in highsec space. And let me remind you, the whole concept of being a capsuleer, or a clone soldier is tied to our access to clones. And do you know who controls the clone reanimation units, or the clones in the first place? The empires and CONCORD. As soon as we would start to be even a minor threat to them, they can just deny access to all our clones and we would be done for. And let me remind you, even the mightiest of capsuleer ships need mortals to operate any ships bigger than a frigate. My point is, we have power. Power to take on fleets of ships with a single cruiser. Power to slaughter armies with a handful of clones. We're above the normal people physically, and often financially. But we are only as powerful as the empires let us. If you're still not convinced, I give up. You hold onto your foolish views, whatever. And if we create our own clones? We don't have to live under the heels of CONCORD and the Empires forever, mortals are nothing if not predictable. Mortals, over time, will always get to the point where they let their defences lapse. Us immortals are constantly in battle in some form or another. We will never allow that. It may take hundreds of years, but it will happen. And I will be ready. The question is, will you back a failing political power or join the real power?

It seems to me that you think all clone soldier will support your coup d'+Žtat......
I would stand against you and all like you to preserve the fragile balances of power our four nations hold, and the might and grandeur of my faith. Scum like you think they can own the galaxy.....but it is not yours to take. God gifted to the peoples of the Amarr to rule under the heavens for all time.
I understand, but I have a feeling, you are in the minority here. We are the future, the mortals and their ways are the past. I'm including your god in that, just so you know, as immortals don't need a god or heaven. Why would I care about a promise of everlasting life? I am immortal, I already have everything your god promises. What else does he offer?

We are allowed to walk freely within the confines of our contracts until we either complete or fail them, then its back to the database. Our consciousness is who we are, not the body that we do or do not have. I fail to see how my argument and yours are mutually exclusive items.

Again, we could just jump to a new clone. Also, our first clone, the one in our merc quarters is a long-life clone, we could just get another one of those when it ages.

None of us will ever convince the rest. I am what I am, if that makes me better or worse than the humans, so be it. I will be ready when the time to act comes, as will the rest of the Immortals, I'm sure. What side will will you choose? That of the humans that created us? Or that of the ones who think that to be a clone, to be Immortal, is to be a god? Only time will tell. Until then, I will see you later, I need sleep.
EDIT: Incidentally, Adamance, we never squadded like we were planning to. Also, I enjoy these debates about whether clones are merely human, less than human, or more than human. It's interesting.
