Since no one bought ANYTHING directly in game with cash, you bought Aurum, which then you used AT YOUR DISCRETION to buy whatever in game items, you can keep dreaming about ANY refund.
It kills me that you idiots think CCP is going to placate your whimsical demands. First off no one forced you to spend the money, nor did they promise anything in the process. You were given the exact amount of AUR you purchased and therefore they held up that agreement. How you spend it is not their concern.

What $120? Sounds like an Elite Pack. They are not removing Elite Packs people purchased. This is what's happening. They are removing the following items:
4800 AUR Militia 180mm Reinforced Steel Plates Blueprint 4800 AUR Militia Shield Regenerator Blueprint 4800 AUR Militia Shield Resistance Amplifier 4800 AUR Militia Power Diagnostic System Blueprint
You have also technically signed a contract with CCP, that says:
CCP may update, upgrade or otherwise enhance the Software at any time, in its sole discretion, without obligation to you.
That's what they're doing, they are updating their software. And you get the AUR price back. So where is the problem? (also, where is the $120?) |

He's stopped responding but I doubt he understands yet. I'd just like to see the look on the faces of the people he's asking for help from when him tells them the actual value of the items.
Maybe I should fly to the UK to buy him a burger to compensate him for the loss. The flight there and back from the US is about how much it'll cost in services to make this refund happen through legal channels.

You signed the fuckin' EULA dude, you AGREED to allow them the right to modify their own content whenever they please. You're fully permitted to cancel your acceptance of the EULA at any time under the condition you stop playing the game within 30 days.
Seriously, this is the definition of entitlement. You're taking legal action against someone who does this - not only because they love it - but because they have a family to feed; you're willing to put peoples' lives in jeopardy over a VIDEO GAME.
"How much is a life worth?" Apparently as little as a few hundred bucks dropped on Aurum BS.
Get real dude.

Don't like a change in game.. quit. Otherwise STFU and go QQ elsewhere. Actually, that's not true.
Many of the various packs came with exclusive BPOs that only come from buying those packs, not the AUR. As far as I know, those BPOs are here to stay, but if they are ever removed then CCP will have an interesting situation on their hands.

You cant di anything about it. You accepted the EULA and that includes that CCP can change every aspect of their game. This includes BPO's aswell. You dont own BPO'S CCP owns them you simply "borrowed" it from them for AUR and thats it.

Those were directly purchased for $$, not AUR.

Can you post an exact copy of what it was you told them exactly? Verbatim please. No omissions. I want to understand the context of what you told those consumer rights groups.
Although I do admit that the Master Recruiter CII Dropsuit is a reasonable compensation. However, that is an item that requires actual effort to obtain through the recruitment process. Also, how can you be certain that a dropsuit item that cost no AUR be of equal value to a BPO that cost you AUR to obtain?
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

If so, did you agree to said Terms? 4) Were you under duress or suffering impaired judgement when you acknowledged and accepted said Terms? 5) Apart from being butthurt, what specific damages are you claiming as result of alleged Breach of Contract? If you go astray of a country's rights and regulations EULA means absolutely nothing. They're only enforceable as long as they stay within their own bounds. If a country should deem those bounds to be breached, the EULA is then Null and Void. But only if such a conclusion is reached. EULA's do not make companies "Magically Immune" to customer abuse. 1) Define "go astray" and "customer abuse" as it relates to this claim. 2) Describe in detail what actions CCP has taken in violation of its own EULA. 3) Describe in detail the specific damages -- apart from butthurt -- that resulted from alleged violation.
The fact that Party A operates in separate jurisdiction from Party B does not render Party A or B "Magically Immune" to their respective, contractual obligations and commitments. Contracts offered and executed in good faith have merit; jurisdictional considerations and challenges are secondary.
1. I cannot do this, please refer to your own National and Local laws for application, asking me to do it for you is purely ludicrous. 2. You didn't read what I wrote, did you? You just outright assumed it was an attack statement. 3. See answer #2 and #1

Probably something along the lines of how he paid for something that they were providing and then they removed the item - not telling them that there was a rebalance in place and the impact BPO's have on the game's economy (or soon to be implemented economy). Misconstrued it so that it sounded like he was a victim.

I still don't understand what you are actually trying to take them to court about. Honestly I hope you spend money taking this to court and the judge laughs at you and throws the case out. If I were CCP I would let you keep your blueprints, then when 1.7 drops and you try fit them it just says something like "INVALID MODULE" in red and you are stuck there with a blueprint you can't use and no Aurum refunded. Also I read your first comment on the other post, you mention CCP as a third party and that you made an agreement with Sony for those BPOs. Which is interesting to me, because here's Sony's stance on third parties and access to content: "SCEA may provide you with the ability to buy access to a variety of content, including game-specific items, video content, comics and game and subscriptions. All content is provided by SCEA, including content created or published by third parties. Third parties may administer access to some content, including delivery, gameplay or customer service."
Emboldened the relevant parts.
EDIT: Had to go back and underline the parts as well, wasn't as bold as I'd hoped. Enjoy. |

As multiple people have pointed out before: you purchased Aurum, either by buying an Aurum pack or one of the various other packs that included Aurum. You then purchased an in-game item with said Aurum: that item is being refunded and the thing you purchased with real money (aka Aurum) is now being refunded to you.
You have not lost anything, and in fact have gotten potentially substantial use out of something before you then get the opportunity to 'cash in' your Aurum-bought item to get additional gain from it in a different area. |

I remember people thinking they were going to be AUR rich with refunds for multiple, super cheaply purchased BPOs at Uprisings release. They were all very disappointed and there were many, many threads like the ones we're seeing today.

You can contact all these groups if you want, but EULA from both CCP and Sony will instantly destroy your case. get over it.
