Having contacted various consumer rights groups via email, including one national citizens advice bureau, I have received no less than 4 responses in just over 24 hours. The responses were all similar and quite reasonable, and all suggested that I give consideration to making a claim if I am still not satisfied when the change happens. They each suggested that I try to resolve the issue between myself and CCP to find some middle ground and come to a reimbursement solution that both parties (me and CCP) agree upon. 3/4 of the responses agreed that any reimbursement should be agreed upon with myself being consulted, not simply TOLD what to accept. With this in mind, I have decided on what I want to request from CCP as middle ground. To any CCP Devs reading this, I am willing to reach a settlement on this dispute by receiving a Master Recruiter CII Dropsuit before or as 1.7 drops. That is my price CCP, I suggest you consider it before this goes any further.

1) Which of these Consumer Rights groups has taken the time to review CCP's EULA and/or Terms of Service? 2) What specific feedback has your legal counsel offered after reviewing CCP's EULA and/or Terms of Service? 3) Did you take the time to review CCP's Terms prior to playing Dust? If so, did you agree to said Terms? 4) Were you under duress or suffering impaired judgement when you acknowledged and accepted said Terms? |

the fact that you are doing this on the forums means you just want to make a show of it.

I guess he wants his US$2.40 refund per militia BPO. Sounds worth bringing in four different organizations and CCP legal. He may not be paying anything but I'm sure the thousands of dollars of effort plus any government time and expense is totally worth it.
Totally. Worth. It.

These items weren't even purchased in the psn store, therefore you did not spend real money on it. You used aur, which you did use to realty cash to acquire, and then you spent that aur on the militia items in the INGAME store. You are also being refunded the aur that you spent on those items. You are not losing anything.
If this goes to court, you will lose for that reason.
I doubt you even use these items, and you're just making a big deal out of it just because you're bored.
******* idiot.
Also, the two of you are supposed to agree upon a middle ground, but all I see is you making a unwavering demand.

The most you will get out of this whole fiasco is being made a fool of in court when the legal stuff you clearly don't understand slaps you in the face. The fact you don't understand means you could have only fed false information by ignorance to the solicitors or lawyers you have spoken to.
Trust me save yourself the embarrassment and drop it.
Edit: you are also attempting blackmail, that is illegal so I'd delete the whole post if I was you.

But only if such a conclusion is reached. EULA's do not make companies "Magically Immune" to customer abuse.

CCP stated that they are stripping away vehicle stuffs to properly balance what's left. Then they will be slowly bringing back the stuffs. What if they bring back the modules that they are taking away the BPOs for in the future?
Honestly, they just came out with the "no removal of any BPO" statement then they announced they are taking them away. Now, I don't agree with OP's foolishness here but managing expectations is not CCP's strong point. They should have just left them in as place holders and told us that if and when those modules are reintroduced to the game, those who own them would be able to use them at that point. Problem solved. |

The fact that Party A operates in separate jurisdiction from Party B does not render Party A or B "Magically Immune" to their respective, contractual obligations and commitments.
Contracts offered and agreed upon in good faith have merit, jurisdictional consideration is secondary. Believe or not, there are companies out there which conduct business across international boundaries! Mind blowing, yes? But believe me, international trade is real and it happens every single day.
To further blow your mind, such trade more often than not involves contracts! Wowzer! |
