No, because that would force vehicles into different gamenodes and proto av squads would flock to those. then vehicles die instantly and vehicles become useless . |

Well adamance. The point is , TANKS ARE NOT WEAK. Shield tanks are UP compared with Armor tanks, but anyone saying armor tanks are weak is demented. That they re NOT 100% effective on their own, yeah well,nothing is supposed to.
Yesterday i was playing again vs 6+ corp members. They brought in 2 tanks, and had about 3 snipers taking out all AV infantry, while the rest of the blues freely took everything. Me and 3 randoms squaded up and try to take down 1 tank, but when you are getting hit by snipers , rushed by enemy infantry becasue all of your blues are 3-15 K-D snipers, and need to actually RELOAD 2+ times because the armor tank took 6 of your Wyrikomis swarms to the face and still lives with 1/3 of their HP, it becomes not difficult , but impossible.
we are also talking about LINE HARVEST,probably one of he WORST maps to fight vs Tanks since they have so much cover. 6 Proto swarms, the other AV throwing grenades, hes already ON FIRE, but he speeds up, gets lost under the roofs and hides behind the redline to repair/call it back.MEanwhile we are getting ravaged by enemy infantry because our Blues are n00bs and we are carruing AV instead of AI weaponry.
They are NOT useless. Tankers want overall to be undestructible,as it is even with proto AV , rep mods are so broken is impossible to take them down; but let me tell you this. the day you all run indestructible tanks, the FPS aspect dies,because we will ALL be running tanks.... |

I have spent several million SP on them.
-The weapons , to prof 4 with several other upgrades. -The SUIT to put the swarms on -The Side arm i so rely on to defend myself from enemy infatry -The nanos i use to ressuply my swarm -All the passive skills i've had to improve in order to move faster and be more resistant. -The Complex Damage mods -Complex Shield Ext -Complex Armor and rep -Complex cardiac Reg

Why is it that every time I run on the ground instead of in my tank (which happens quite often since tanks are meh right now) I can stay clear of enemy tanks? Seriously, its not hard people, just hide from them. |

Well, if you just take a deep breath and calm down, the game modes we got today, Domination, Skirmish and Ambush OMS would still be exactly the same, meaning tankers can call in their tanks and other veichles and AV'ers can go hunting veichles all day every day, as always... but the tankers that wish for more tank battles would also have a spot to go to, and the regular soldiers would have a Ambush game mode which would fit the ones not wanting to encounter veichles (tanks).... and to be clear, Im not a tanker (only have had very basic veichles before), Im a dedicated Forge user since several builds, but I can still understand both sides whishes...

As much as I hate to see three tanks roaming the field, I suck it up because this is war. I don't have time to cry foul. We just have to get the swarm guys out there and we gotta protect them from infantry trying to silence them.

I have lost count if the times that I am the only person on the field with av while there are 3+ tanks roaming around, trying to get a shot on them only to be taken down from any given direction because my dumbass teammates keep charging in without any tactics and not even bothering to protect the one person who can rebalance the match |

We have 12 v 12 battles.Its way too little people for one team to have 4 tanks deployed. Its just, LOGIC. How does no one else see this? |

So.....if you want to Tank you must be GOD b/c you must survive 5-15 Matches to recoup on a single Loss. 1 SKILLED AVer can SOLO you. You are obviously not a SKILLED AVer..... 2x Skilled AVers w/ Damage Mods + Focus Fire = 6x Tanks Dead &/or Redlined. Make those 2 AFGers & Infantry = LOL, & the Derpship "Counter" is Null & Void........ I read & comprehend just fine.....you are simply Irrelevant |

AMEN!!! Whining infantry just keeps complaining about tanks. Truth is: if you're still whining about "OP Tanks" then you must not have Advanced AV weapons. That is your fault. They already nerfed tanks several times to the point where one person can take down 2 or more tanks if he's up for it.
Think about it... 1 person with AV weapons can take down a tank which usually cost in the millions. There suit's only cost like under 200k. So if we want balance, how about we make those AV suits the same price of a tank. BOOM, there goes your balance. |

I believe the topic at hand was removing tanks from ambush. as tanks are undeniably underpowered, that is unless you are playing with checkmate then they go inexplicably god mode. it is my belief that removing tanks from ambush would only further weaken the tank as a class especially considering that we only have three game modes to work with. to any butt hurt infantry men i would recommend getting yourself a STD swarm it's cheap and requires almost no sp but still effective. if you should find yourself tank spammed simply utilize the fact that they have basically no infantry to you advantage and fire swarms from cover. |

Yesterday i was playing again vs 6+ corp members. They brought in 2 tanks, and had about 3 snipers taking out all AV infantry, while the rest of the reds freely took everything.(You know, teamwork?) Me and 3 randoms squaded up and try to take down 1 tank, but when you are getting hit by snipers , rushed by enemy infantry becasue all of your blues are 3-15 K-D snipers, and need to actually RELOAD 2+ times because the armor tank took 6 of your Wyrikomis swarms to the face and still lives with 1/3 of their HP, it becomes not difficult , but impossible.
we are also talking about LINE HARVEST,probably one of he WORST maps to fight vs Tanks since they have so much cover. 6 Proto swarms, the other AV throwing grenades, hes already ON FIRE, but he speeds up, gets lost under the roofs and hides behind the redline to repair/call it back.MEanwhile we are getting ravaged by enemy infantry because our Blues are n00bs and we are carruing AV instead of AI weaponry.
They are NOT useless. Tankers want overall to be undestructible,as it is even with proto AV , rep mods are so broken is impossible to take them down; but let me tell you this. the day you all run indestructible tanks, the FPS aspect dies,because we will ALL be running tanks....And then ,being a tanker will be nothing special.
They aren't weak, just flimsy and lacking in one of the core features of Real World tanking which is Manouverability, If they were able to do better turns then I would have no problem with the state of tanks, currently our real world versions are better because they could run circles around the Dust ones. I just wish AV took a little bit more time to set up.
E.G- Swarm lock that target and take X seconds to lock (6-8 tops) but fire fast, keeping their high DPS. Pilots get a notice when they are being locked, either they move, or they retreat, or balls to the wall fight in CQC.
Now the game is more tactical as we can start to implement counter measures, and you can keep you powerful AV, but you also get the added bonus of simply knowing that by locking the tank you could be forcing him to hesitate or even pull back/ deny him the fight.

Its situational. Tankers forget that for INFANTRY there are more stuff to take into consideration.
For tankers , is tank vs AV.
For Avers, is AV vs Tank,Enemy infantry,enemy Turrets, enviroment , red line,etc...

Irrelevant is hardly a stinging or meaningful comment, you too are irrelevant Ninja, where is my proof, facts, what does that even mean? Nothing really. If you are going to insult a man put some effort into it. Void is one of the best tankers in this game, if he cannot be pulling off consistent no loss matches then few other people would be able to match a similar standard, and what you just did there in your post is high light how incredibly powerful Swarm Launchers are, adding fodder to the old Tankers argument that there should not be such potent auto locking (now 2x DPS) damaging, and long range AV options.
As for you Checkmate
An infantry man should never take a tank 1 to 1 without having to make use of solid cover, and preparation, 2v1 doable, 3v1 easy. I am sorry but a player should never be able to strafe through tank rounds firing swarms as he does it. Swarmer's should be a long range/long locking AV option to take down armour tanks with high DPS once locked.
Don't even forget prior to becoming a tanker I was a damn good AVer |

What cover, it's Ambush, anywhere you go Infantry will be there within 1 minute of your location. The only cover is on the pillers, and you need dropships for that, and they get shot down by any squad with brains.
Your argument is that because tanks are supposedly UP, that gives them the right to abuse a game mode not designed for them? That makes no sense at all. |

A tank,even a bad anker like myself can go 25+ kills nad ZERo deaths in a game if your infantry is taking care of the AV infantry. COVER and PREPARATION is something that sometimes you CANT afford.
