I.ve been saying this all my life. Ambush needs no Tanks, its a game mode for tankers to pad stat. ANY pub match or Faction war needs to fix The limit on TANKS deployed; Getting in a match vs 6+ organized corp members while you team are all randoms is already hard,but for them to start spider-tanking with 2+ tanks is just ret@rded. Not only bad matchmaking but also bad vehicle limits? LOL good one,
Want to spider tank? do it in Planetary conquest, where there WILL be a counter.

Well adamance. The point is , TANKS ARE NOT WEAK. Shield tanks are UP compared with Armor tanks, but anyone saying armor tanks are weak is demented. That they re NOT 100% effective on their own, yeah well,nothing is supposed to.
Yesterday i was playing again vs 6+ corp members. They brought in 2 tanks, and had about 3 snipers taking out all AV infantry, while the rest of the blues freely took everything. Me and 3 randoms squaded up and try to take down 1 tank, but when you are getting hit by snipers , rushed by enemy infantry becasue all of your blues are 3-15 K-D snipers, and need to actually RELOAD 2+ times because the armor tank took 6 of your Wyrikomis swarms to the face and still lives with 1/3 of their HP, it becomes not difficult , but impossible.
we are also talking about LINE HARVEST,probably one of he WORST maps to fight vs Tanks since they have so much cover. 6 Proto swarms, the other AV throwing grenades, hes already ON FIRE, but he speeds up, gets lost under the roofs and hides behind the redline to repair/call it back.MEanwhile we are getting ravaged by enemy infantry because our Blues are n00bs and we are carruing AV instead of AI weaponry.
They are NOT useless. Tankers want overall to be undestructible,as it is even with proto AV , rep mods are so broken is impossible to take them down; but let me tell you this. the day you all run indestructible tanks, the FPS aspect dies,because we will ALL be running tanks.... |

I have spent several million SP on them.
-The weapons , to prof 4 with several other upgrades. -The SUIT to put the swarms on -The Side arm i so rely on to defend myself from enemy infatry -The nanos i use to ressuply my swarm -All the passive skills i've had to improve in order to move faster and be more resistant. -The Complex Damage mods -Complex Shield Ext -Complex Armor and rep -Complex cardiac Reg
Id say i spent around 14-15 million SP in being an AVer. Happy now?

Where did i say tanks need a nerf !?
The only thing i sair related to that matter is that SHield tanks are not as powerful as armor tanks.

1-Tanks are not UP 2-Tanks have no place in Ambush and as it is, they need a limitation in PUB matches.
We have 12 v 12 battles.Its way too little people for one team to have 4 tanks deployed. Its just, LOGIC. How does no one else see this? |

Its situational. Tankers forget that for INFANTRY there are more stuff to take into consideration.
For tankers , is tank vs AV.
For Avers, is AV vs Tank,Enemy infantry,enemy Turrets, enviroment , red line,etc...
again,situational: 1 v 1 , of course i take out a tank. Me, with snipers, enemy infantry shooting at me all the time, not letting me get into position, Plus tanks going with OTHER tanks behind them,or LLAVs repping them,a map that benefis them... so many variables... Im surpised they let someone so narrow minded into Teamplayers... |

A tank,even a bad anker like myself can go 25+ kills nad ZERo deaths in a game if your infantry is taking care of the AV infantry. COVER and PREPARATION is something that sometimes you CANT afford.

A2- I can use players as cover,but what if the only thing they are doing is dropping rapidly (AS USUAL XD)? a LAyer of 6+ 500HP softies is not 5000+ Of armor hardened tank with broken repair mods. B1-Bro, Aiming =/= Detection B2-Agreed again.

The only thing we don't worry about are Handheld Ballistics (IE: AR, Sniper, Shotty). Even Flaylocks, Scrambler Rifles, Lazers & Mass Drivers contribute.....albeit small. Hitbox is huge, Acceleration is slow, Counter is Insta-Fire & Homing (FG, Swarm, AV Nade), Maps cater to AV & Infantry in general.....especially the new Sockets (Sky Scrapers, Platforms, Cubby Holes, Ridges, etc.). Our Turrets neither look Up nor Down past 35 & 10 Degrees respectively, we have no access to anything past STD except Turrets (FG Hurt Box is 1.5x Heavy Frame while Rail is 1/2 the Scout Frame btw....& AFG > ALL), a pebble in the road strips EHP, Terrain deviates Shots wildly, MAX of 20 Seconds in Combat (If minimal AV present) with a 45 Seconds to 1 Minute Downtime (If not Aggressively Suicidal...), NO "Aim-Assist" whatsoever, our Price Tag is EXCESSIVE (STD FFS....), Rendering is pathetic (LOL Ghost Installations) and 1.5 made it worse (LOL Phase-Dodging Infantry), and come 1.7 (2.5....) we shall have even less to work with (Thank IWS & Wolfman.....) It takes a God-Tier Tanker to even manage any Gains, where a God-Tier Infantryman will indefinitely outshine regardless of situation, & even a Semi-Decent one @ that.....& with a whole lot more Flexibility I might add. You will NOT see even an Adept Tanker go ISK Positive....I assure you of this. Tankers are simply there to draw AGGRO so the CoDbois are forced out of their Element, & if even 1 of them is comfortable with dropping that AR for a sec then we lose ground fast. If I get an entire Squad to hunt me in the Redline & my Team of Blues make a Comeback.....I did my job. If I die ONCE.....back to the drawing board for 5-15 Games. I have dabbled in damn near every Class & Build there is, & I assure you that the "Closed-Minded" one is not this guy *Points thumbs @ Self* PS: I Hilighted a KEY POINT for LULZ Go back to School kid.....you badly need it

BUT THE FACT IS: All these QQ in the forums IS NOT REFLECTED IN-GAME, where tanks most of the time do great and own a LOT. SPECIALLY in game modes as ambush
Unless you are a shield tanker, you can't seriously pretend i will believe that tanks are made of paper.... |
