If a vehicle specialist is dumb enough to call in a tank in ambush then PLEASE LET THEM. If you QQ about a tank or 6 in an ambush then you are honestly doing something very wrong. This thread needs to go in the category "I've played this game for 2 weeks and keep dying because I refuse to squad up, CCP help!"

Wow, really? So a guy gets tired of HAVs blowing him up, and asks for a vehicle free mode, and your "fair" counterpoint is to ask for mode where HAVs just blow up helpless infantry all day long. Only a stupid tanker is getting solo'd by AV nades alone and Swarms leave you in shooting range unless you get on a tower which require dropships. Against an organized squad in a small map like Ambush, it will almost never get off the ground to a strategic location. Both are quite useless against the proto squads covering for the tank. But hey, you can easily switch you suit without dying...wait you can't.

What are you, twelve? Don't you get that making HAVs too strong will make for an unfun game for everyone who is NOT in one? That's why prototype tanks were taken out, because HAV pilots found ways to be essentially un-killable, and that made for very frustrating gameplay for everyone else. And they still out there right now in their slightly less effective 2.5 mil tanks just butchering pubbies. So every time someone goes on these forums and proposes some ludicrous bandaid solution like taking AV out or making it so that HAVs are the only counter to HAVs, they are not getting the big picture. Yes, it would be awesome to just steam roll over everyone in your invincible tank. But it would be a terrible game experience for everyone getting steamrolled. And eventually everyone else would stop playing because why should they deal with that bull****. And you'll be left all alone in your super tank with no-one to shoot. So quit throwing tantrums and calling people names and just think before you post.

CLONE117 Planetary Response Organization Test Friends Please Ignore 396	Posted - 2013.10.08 18:49:00 - [60] - Quote i think ill make something clear here...tanks r weak.. the only time they r strong or seem unkillable is when they do the hit and run routine.. they come in..get hit by a nade lose a little of their shields then activate all their reppers and run. and now if we look at proto tanks. it took proto av to kill them. a proto breach fg with proficiency maxed combined with some damage mods will ohk nearly any vehicle. the super tough next to invincible god tanks r just the tankers who put all of their sp into tanks and pretty much maxed out every vehicle skill for them. so they can withstand the average adv av and tank little of the proto av. and so if a few players grabbed some proto av they could easily obliterate that god tank. the paper thin tanks r the tanks that cant fit hardly anything due to the lack of pg and cpu skills.. these tanks rely on active resistance mods and reppers just to survive.
