Wow, really? So a guy gets tired of HAVs blowing him up, and asks for a vehicle free mode, and your "fair" counterpoint is to ask for mode where HAVs just blow up helpless infantry all day long. How does that even make sense?! You need to think before you post dumb stuff.

What are you, twelve? Don't you get that making HAVs too strong will make for an unfun game for everyone who is NOT in one? That's why prototype tanks were taken out, because HAV pilots found ways to be essentially un-killable, and that made for very frustrating gameplay for everyone else. And they still out there right now in their slightly less effective 2.5 mil tanks just butchering pubbies.
So every time someone goes on these forums and proposes some ludicrous bandaid solution like taking AV out or making it so that HAVs are the only counter to HAVs, they are not getting the big picture. Yes, it would be awesome to just steam roll over everyone in your invincible tank. But it would be a terrible game experience for everyone getting steamrolled. And eventually everyone else would stop playing because why should they deal with that bull****. And you'll be left all alone in your super tank with no-one to shoot.
So quit throwing tantrums and calling people names and just think before you post. |

I never said I want infantry only ambush. Only reason I posted was because someone somehow got to the conclusion that AV free skirmish was a good idea as well.

Letting people play without being stomped by vehicles is valid, because they are still being challenged by the other team. Introducing a game mode where HAVs stomp infantry without any kind of recourse short of calling in their own tank is just dumb. It's dumb because no infantry would ever join it. Only tankers will. So why not just skip the middle part and make a vehicle only mode?
I think the only reason why you didn't suggest a vehicle only mode is because you don't want to have shoot-outs with other HAVs. You want to stomp infantry. That's why you got into tanking. Admit it.
EDIT - Oh I think I got the fair is fair comment.
Void Echo: Can't stomp infantry in ambush anymore? Then I will need to stomp it in skirmish extra hard! Fair is fair!

I'd be totally fine with a vehicle only mode. I wouldn't play it, but its not like I would have less Dust for me if it existed.

the reason I got into tanking back last year is because im bored and tired of being a mindless ******** grunt who does nothing but point and shoot, in a tank its a whole new world.
I don't play ambush, I only play skirmish, ambush is just to unstable for vehicles to go in unless they have the entire team to help them, in skirmish at least we know what direction the AV is coming from, think before you posts next time and I might give you a little respect.
bottom line is, tanks kill infantry, AV kills tank, make a vehicle free mode, make an AV free mode.

CCP, can you please create an AV-free skirmish game mode so that this guy can just sit there all alone in his tank for days, waiting for infantry that will never come. |
