If PC didn't **** my PS3 and if my anxiety wasn't so high these days (**** comms) I would have plenty of ISK to just fly the days away. All my proto gear is wasted because infantry play is so easy and predictable for me, I just want to fly again. These new dropships look boss, so saving my SP now if my brain allows it lol. We really need a queue system for skills like in EVE, where you select a skill and all your SP earned is immediately dumped into that skill until it's unlocked.

new dropships?? what in new patch we are getting new ones?

Well technically old dropshps, the Grimsnes and....whatever the calamari one is called.

They're currently set to receive a dramatic buff, and are basically whole new ships. If the changes hold, it's going to be a lot less painful being a pilot, if you can figure out some fits (and there are some mean fits you can make with these new numbers and one or no turrets)

my th3 truth acc is a pilot so since i specced into logi ships that means i get sp back? because someone told me they were removing them.

Logi and assault dropships, enforcer HAVs, logistics and scout LAVs are all being removed.

At the very least I think it's safe to imagine a full refund of the vehicle command tree.

sweet i got 8 million plus sp in my enforcer tanks too awsome. now i can use the sp for my minmitar or amarr logi

Also the "get good and get proto suits" argument is moot. There's nothing skill full about accumulating a massive amount of skill points, it's all about time.

That is all I really got to say about that, not arguing one way or the other.

EDIT: Well, I guess I'd also like to say something in regards to that last bit in the OP. Participating on Planetary Conquest doesn't make you any more of a "real" player than anyone else here. Congratulations, you've earned control of some random district in a garbage region of New Eden! Would you like a cookie?

In pubs anything above advanced gear is trying pretty hard.

Just saying.

Especially if you aren't playing the intended way and you're in a squad.

better players compete. plain and simple.
pub matches with the way the q system is putting all new guys on one side with one squad of solid players vs an entire stacked team is not skill.
thats just a massacre.
you dont have to argue a fact is a fact.
accumulating skill points is considered skill. obviously.
because those skills are being used to make you that much of a better player that and teamwork.

I made a few accounts in BETA and they each have over 10m sp without me ever playing them ... that SP hasn;t taken any skill to acquire because there is a thing called passive SP

Good players dont use Proto gear all the time .. fact is if you always play with a gear advantage you get into bad habits, sure you have the ISK to not worry about losing proto suits but if you get into the habit of playing recklessly because you can afford too and you become a bad player ... take it from experience .. when you run into enemies who have the same level of gear as you and you've got into the habit of playing recklessly because you've been stronger gear wise than your opponents it's extremely difficult to suddenly revert to how you used to play before you starting stomped new players and you will get absolutely destroyed ...

Spend some time playing in miltia/standard/adv gear be the one at a disadvantage and you will improve as a player .. I got so used to rolling proto gear that I actually got worse and started playing like an idiot running around solo getting 20+-0 in pub games and then went into PC with the same mentality and got owned .. since then I dont use proto gear in pub games I run miltia/standard and sometimes adv if im up against a squad of alliance members and when you get used to playing at a disadvantage you get so much better its unreal .. you think more about what your doing where your going who to target etc because you know you'll likely lose in a straight gun fight so you have to play smart to nullify the gear advantage .. when you get used to playing like this and then switch to your most expensive suit you become an absolute beast .. i now save my proto suits for PC

And neither do we, but we will happily go on making fun of proto squads in pubs cuz it's like....UFC fighters going all out on a pile of kittens.

Every time you Proto Stomp a battle you making new players leave, and by doing so you costing CCP money because they losing potential new costumers. Some of us understand this and use only Advanced gear for the benefit of everyone.

But you carry on being salvage... your stats and personal satisfaction is much more important than the game.

HAHAHAHA. What a cute idea. Take it easy on the noobs? Get real man. I'm all for helping someone learn the game. But I'm not going to use lesser gear to make them feel better.

If people don't stick around then they simply don't like the game and that is CCP's fault really. We all stuck it out through the protostomps to gain SP and earn our protosuits. The noobs can do the same. As the saying goes, HTFU.

Not offence ... but if you need Prototype equipment all the time, YOU ARE THE NOOB. People with skills don't need Proto **** to do well at this game.

There are plenty of reasons to leave this game other than a protostomping; and who's to say that CCP isn't losing CCP money by failing to implement a proper matchmaking system?
