In pubs anything above advanced gear is trying pretty hard.

People be mad they can't afford/haven't skilled into proto so they go around crying about "tryhards" and "protobears" or what have you to make themselves feel better. It's a sort of psychological defense mechanism to believe the only reason you died is because the other person had a shinier suit than them.

Fact of the matter is most people who are stomping you probably don't even have an ADV fit set up because people pubstomping have hundreds of millions of ISK (like me) that dont have anything better to spend it on. It's not "tryhard", it's simplifying my fits because ISK has become completely and utterly useless to me. I bought 1000 suits that has lasted me for about 3 months now and I still have hundreds left over.

We don't care that you whine. We don't care that you say it's unfair. We don't care that we lost 200,000 or 500,000 or 1,000,0000 ISK in a match (which never happens) when we have an essentially indefinite supply of ISK. Stop whining, stop creating these pointless threads, and go get better. No one is going to hold your hand or try and make you feel better because you got killed by Mr. Big Bad Protobear.

Lies and slander good man. The only proto you see me in on any average day is my Ishukone Forge Gun, because god gun is god gun. Even that is on an advanced suit, and only comes out when people decide to drop too many vehicles. I can't help it if no one wants to kill me and I have to pull in 20+ infantry kills cuz some scrubs thought it was ok to drive a vehicle with me around.

At this moment in time I believe fellow corp members should help out derpship pilots with isk.

I have a live stream and plenty of recorded videos on my youtube. Most of those do not have proto gear, because I do not use proto gear in most matches.

I also do not play FW.

All I'm saying is proto pub stomping literally takes no skill. When my noob ass tops most of my pubs solo in militia gear, you KNOW trolling pubs in proto squads takes no skill. That's all. You're welcome to it, it doesn't bother me in the least. Simply stating facts. Majority of pubs offer no real competition, so bringing your sunday best is just...silly.

Well technically old dropshps, the Grimsnes and....whatever the calamari one is called.

They're currently set to receive a dramatic buff, and are basically whole new ships. If the changes hold, it's going to be a lot less painful being a pilot, if you can figure out some fits (and there are some mean fits you can make with these new numbers and one or no turrets)

Logi and assault dropships, enforcer HAVs, logistics and scout LAVs are all being removed.

At the very least I think it's safe to imagine a full refund of the vehicle command tree.

Also the "get good and get proto suits" argument is moot. There's nothing skill full about accumulating a massive amount of skill points, it's all about time.

Every time you Proto Stomp a battle you making new players leave, and by doing so you costing CCP money because they losing potential new costumers. Some of us understand this and use only Advanced gear for the benefit of everyone.

But you carry on being salvage... your stats and personal satisfaction is much more important than the game.

Not offence ... but if you need Prototype equipment all the time, YOU ARE THE NOOB. People with skills don't need Proto **** to do well at this game.

There are plenty of reasons to leave this game other than a protostomping; and who's to say that CCP isn't losing CCP money by failing to implement a proper matchmaking system? I agree with OP. There's other stuff to worry about, besides not everyone quits from getting stomped early in an FPS game career. -plenty of people buckle-down and knuckle-up.

the real problem is heavies with assault rifles who are seriously compensating for a SERIOUS lack of skill.

If you have to have 1000 armour just to be able to use an AR then you are a scrub.

I stopped playing because the first battle I entered after leaving the academy had me and a bunch of other NPC corp noobish players pitted against 2 full squads of proto pubstompers. There are many others like me.

There is no way any new player can compete with that.

These comments were not actually taken out of context as you claim because in these statements you were not actually talking about PC, you were insulting the Ultramarines and talking about how the they were a bunch of pubstompers.

By the way, how can they be "pubstompers" if they lose 90% of their matches? This seems very contradictory, just saying.

Moving on, a couple comments later you claimed that you would be able to stomp full proto squads of Ultramarines while using advanced gear. The general flow of the conversation leads the reader to the conclusion that you were in fact claiming this would occur in pubs or FW.

In the current state of the game, yes it is the players' fault directly. Players know when they are facing off against n00bs, but most of you "vets" will throw on full proto for the laughs. Sure it may be entertaining, but it is not conducive to the long term health of the game. Most console players simply won't play if it isn't fun. Getting stomped like this in every match you play for months is simply not fun.

DUST may be part of New Eden, but it is not comparable to EVE. In EVE, new players have many different options to choose from. There is a vast free roam world, with different securities. While one may choose to venture out in Nulsec, you aren't forced to go there, ever. In EVE n00bs have the ability to warp away if things start looking grim.

In DUST, you have 16 vs 16 in fairly small combat zones. you can't choose your opponent, unless doing PC, which you need Proto to compete in anyway. Then, once in one of these pubstomp matches you either quit or lose, either way you take a loss, whether it is in ISK, or stats.

Protostomping is bad, yes, you should feel bad.

There is much more n00b forgiveness in EVE than DUST.

i am not in planetary conquest no i went to it and left my first corp as they had no intention of doing it..and looked for a place amoung the current elite...at fist i was in the pfbhz and then i was in impswarm..went to internal error and considered my self happily a part of negative feedback...for some reason my old corp wsg had a tendencie to run into the imperfects in closed beta and the left a solid impression on me..this was before when zitro and nynjanomix and alldin kan all tanked and i had ...adv nades and proto swarm ona logi v.k0 and the charybdis...they were the best hunt..and they were the only challenging kills for me other than duna and try harder. i am not a part of pc because most of the people i would play with are in teamplayers or eon. i have no interest really in learning to play with new people and i have no tolerance for weaker players than myself i will not be a part of a corp if i am near the top players....the only corps i could be in then are either eon...or foreign that i am aware of..and while i do play eu afternoon times on est cost server. i do not know of which eu corps i could compare to teamplayer..very few veteran corps have high lines on recruitment...it is a sore spot for me. since neg collapsed i have found no real home that is pc-able. so i stay with my friend psycho because their are remains of neg in his corp. i have been playing dust to long to be a try hard..i enjoy fighting people i know..and any one else im generally not even paying attention. ..so is that enough of an explanation i have no interest in pc because my corp is gone and merged with eon and i am not with them ..so i pub harvest..maybe one day i will find a place..that is structured ..but for now..i am stocking and waiting..and like i said i only go after certain people with good gear..i actually have suits built just for scrubs i have no respect for lol.

I've fought you on many occasions and would fight you again anyday it's more challenging to fight proto or at least good players cause even if I am fighting a team of proto players I'll give them hell before I die
