Ah yes, the common sentiment among those who rely on tens of millions of SP worth of passive skills and proto gear to be able to win in pubs. LOL

So, tell me, how exactly does one "ADAPT OR DIE" in DUST?

Should I just AFK my way to 20 mil SP, or just let my character sit on passive SP for a year?

do what you think is best but the 20 plus million sp ive earned is put to use very well. i dont just win pubs either. nor do i care if i win or lose the topic want about winning or losing. you dont like faction warfare then there is public matches or you can create new characters everytime you reach your 1200 wp max to stay in acadamy

Personally it is pretty funny watching folks call themselves important players because they're doing pc. That got a lollerskate from me dude, right on with the self righteousness. But yeah, crying about proto is funny. When I feel the QQ building up because golly gee my butt hurts from all the proto's butt-fisting me...I go...well gee...I'm sucking...then I put down my exoslashadvsuit.com and I load up my Protolollerskatesfreedom.jpg and i bellow "This is why we can't have nice things!" as I merrily begin unloading a massive ton of extremely ridiculously wide area of effect splash damage on all those pretty black suits and I make them go splat.

me and beld talk trash to eachother so what competiton is trash talk we both know the skill we have and played vs eachother his team was better then ours as we only had 1 squad.
they had many more players working together so yes it was 16 vs 6 and to bring his team to the last few bars of armor says more then what your saying now.

i am not in planetary conquest no i went to it and left my first corp as they had no intention of doing it..and looked for a place amoung the current elite...at fist i was in the pfbhz and then i was in impswarm..went to internal error and considered my self happily a part of negative feedback...for some reason my old corp wsg had a tendencie to run into the imperfects in closed beta and the left a solid impression on me..this was before when zitro and nynjanomix and alldin kan all tanked and i had ...adv nades and proto swarm ona logi v.k0 and the charybdis...they were the best hunt..and they were the only challenging kills for me other than duna and try harder. i am not a part of pc because most of the people i would play with are in teamplayers or eon. i have no interest really in learning to play with new people and i have no tolerance for weaker players than myself i will not be a part of a corp if i am near the top players....the only corps i could be in then are either eon...or foreign that i am aware of..and while i do play eu afternoon times on est cost server. i do not know of which eu corps i could compare to teamplayer..very few veteran corps have high lines on recruitment...it is a sore spot for me. since neg collapsed i have found no real home that is pc-able. so i stay with my friend psycho because their are remains of neg in his corp. i have been playing dust to long to be a try hard..i enjoy fighting people i know..and any one else im generally not even paying attention. ..so is that enough of an explanation i have no interest in pc because my corp is gone and merged with eon and i am not with them ..so i pub harvest..maybe one day i will find a place..that is structured ..but for now..i am stocking and waiting..and like i said i only go after certain people with good gear..i actually have suits built just for scrubs i have no respect for lol.

if i come after you in proto gear its not because i am proto stomping ..it because i respect your gaming ability.(note by proto i mean 100% proto) (not proto weapon on non proto suit i do that all the time) for pubs i run stnd maybe adv ..no one can call me a proto stomping vet..i dont run mlt because i get acussed of cheating allot..i get like 4 msgs a day about my syndicate smg lolz and the same for my stnd md

get good get a proto and use it thats it. besides the threads are useless a month later because you see the same player a few weeks later using the proto suit with the excuse of "well everyone else does it"

They limit fittings in this game to 30. With enough skills spread about, it's difficult to have a large set of PRO-quality fits, ADV-quality fits, and lower quality because you straight-up run out of space.

I experienced the fitting limit even when I hadn't skilled into suits. It was easy enough to have a fast scout fit, some regular assault fits, some AV fits, a cheap forge gun fit, and some logistics fits... and just run out of space.

Once you've skilled into a few weapons and/or suits, it gets worse. It's kinda surprising they haven't already fixed or addressed this, since at least one of the CCP staff that plays has gone "generalist" and is leveling up everything. To actually use all the stuff they skill into would easily make them run out of fitting space.

As a practical matter, unless you have a very narrow set of fits, if you've got various PRO-quality fits then you may not have space to have many really cheap fits for pubs.

There are threads about this in Feedback, but CCP already took note of it in a weekly roundup I think. When we might get it is anyone's guess.

If sounds like you need to hop in a squad and ask your squad mates to fill some roles. I've never had more than 10 fits. Sometimes less is more.

Also the "get good and get proto suits" argument is moot. There's nothing skill full about accumulating a massive amount of skill points, it's all about time.

That is all I really got to say about that, not arguing one way or the other.

EDIT: Well, I guess I'd also like to say something in regards to that last bit in the OP. Participating on Planetary Conquest doesn't make you any more of a "real" player than anyone else here. There is all kinds of fun to be had in this game and limiting your role is pointless. I focus my SP on my logibro. But I still have a cheap sniper/forge/scout/whatever. Because this is a video game. And it's fun. I would of quit already if I had to run the same **** all the time....

A lot of noobs don't understand the trials and tribulations required to be able to run proto 24/7, some don't even realise they can get it to!

Winning a match going 26-0 feels even better.

I'm telling you this because I don't think you have experienced it, and therefore don't understand why someone would run proto fits in a pub game.
