The only way I could see using it as an AV weapon is for stripping the shields/ extra hp off a tank and blowing REs you've placed on it, but I don't see why a flux or AV grenade wouldn't suffice.

My favorite thing for Missiles is getting two side gunners with small rails. They pop all the infantry and help with tanks while you soak the war points and blap tanks, LAVs, and installations.
