I think a really simple way to do this would be to have a menu pop up only on exit of vehicle. It would give 2 options squad lock ( so squad mates can get in ) or all (so nobody but the owner can get in) this would not be a a scroll menu just a x ...

Depends a lot on the logi. a good logi is a force multiplier and can make the whole squad a very feared presence. A poor logi player is more of an annoyance and is never there when you need them.

I play a cal heavy myself and they do pretty good as lone wolf's. In a squad i have to keep in mind i am not a great meat wall. I have to remember to switch off with other heavies and let my shields charge back up.

Myself i use a forge gun and it seems to me that i get warpoints when i start hitting armor. But then again i seem to encounter mostly armor tanks and my first shot wipes out the shields.
