That explains why railgun installations now take me 4 shots instead of 3 to destroy other installations. With the removal of the turret proficiency skills as well, this is a major blow to vehicles.

The damage dealt on the kill screen is the total damage dealt from that weapon, not from the shot that killed you.

It seems they changed the aspect ratio of the game. I don't know if it's a bug or intended. Setting your TV to fit-to-screen will crop the sides and fill-screen will stretch the image. I don't recommend doing this.

I have done some testing and I can confirm: Vehicle Core Upgrades and Vehicle Electronics are working as described. Vehicle Engineering decreases CPU usage of PG modules by 5% per level.

You won't be able to scan light frame dropsuits with the standard scanner but the advanced scanner should be able to scan all but scouts fitted for stealth with multiple or high level profile dampeners.
