Wanted to hear what some of y'all think the best suit to skill into and what makes you think so?
Is it the racial bonus?
The suit bonus?
Color or look?
The proto variant ?
The slot layout or if it is shield tank or armor tank? |

The thread name is about favorite while the content asks about best. They don't necessarily have to be the same thing. My favorite so far:
Caldari Medium, especially Assault. Caldari seem to be the ones best able to utilize the 5% Dropsuit Shield Recharge, along with the Minmatar. I went Caldari because I, me/the guy typing this right now, finds the Caldari to be the most interesting Race in New Eden. For best Assault, I might either say Caldari or Gallente. Caldari can use the Shield Recharge while Gallente have the best (in my opinion) Racial bonus. Minmatar's extra sidearm ammo is a joke (the suit's bonuses are nice though) and the reduction in Laser Heat just means that the Laser does less Burst Damage (plus to me, I never considered the Laser a viable weapon for Assault suits as they are meant to "get in yo face.")
I feel that the Gallente have the best Logistics suit. It is the only one with 4 Equipment slots. So, if you are going to go Medium, Gallente seems to be the "best" choice in my book. Plus, Gallente can probably get away with putting far less points into Circuitry and (Insert new name for the skill that give PG here). All my opinion but it has only been 24 hours; I doubt anyone has a perfect grip on the situation.
Be well. |

Gallente Neo Gk.0:
Requires 2 levels less than Gk.0, has 2 more High slots, an extra equipment slot, and same PG/CPU.
Also, it looks awesome! |

I went with Winmatar assault. The racial bonus was the most sefl as I use swarms and MD's, so extra sidearm ammo is nifty. Looks pretty sweet too, like the lil bit extra speed of the others and the slot layot is pretty good for how I fit my suits.
Also got Gallente scout, since I use guns I didnt go 'Matar scout, and the extra radius is nifty. The layot goes nicely with my Hacking and dampening modules. |

I go full banana(Amarr assault). The suit is perhaps the most diverse with 3 mid and 3 low and a shield/armor base hp of 180/180. ATM I've got 3 complex shield enhancers and 2 tier 2 armor plates on, for about 820 hp. Can't to get my armor skills up for the tier 3 ones.
Also, I feel the suits 5% reduction in laser heat build up is essential. Yeah that's right lasers are still awesome. |

I don't know the flay lock pistol looks OP with three rounds ( the splash hits 2x as hard as an ADV MD splash) give it an extra round.
Some of those heavy hitting scrambler pistols with 2-3 more rounds and the SMG with 15 or so more rounds.
Not to mention they have yet to announce the other 2 pistols.
With some of the other racial bonuses they pigeon hole you into a certain weapon type ( I.e. hybrid or lasers) |

True, but the capacity will not be held in the clip if it works the same way as the other Capacity Skills. Providing you run with a Nanohive or have someone with a Nanohive, you will likely die before running completely out of ammo.

I am originally AMARR and i think some of you got it wrong. It doesn't really matter what race you start with. Im pretty sure if you invest in a certain path you still get the bonus
Say im amarr. I play Assault Minmatar. For every level i invest in Minmatar Assault path i still get the Specializations bonus.
I might be wrong, anyone can confirm this? (GOD I WILL BE SALTY if it really DOES depend on races, Amarr suits blow) |

Advanced Caldari Logistic
Why: - Caldari - Feels good - Not proto - Good shields and medium armor - Price is neat - 3 slots for logi stuff
And I usually shoot my ar/smg empty because of bad accuracy.. So time to get close and personal and snap some jaw bones. On 1 on 1 situtation my opponent usually shoots his clips on my shields so melee fights are present. And this personal fighting style really gives me some good vibes and is almost abudant on other shooters. I think nerfing range was a good choice it forces players to move and use tactics to get close and use whatever is on their hands.

Well right now I'm using the Amarr Militia Medium. That's because I forgot to check and thought that we might be getting the Amarr Scout for this build.
Speaking of which, when are all the suit types coming out? I have trouble finding this info... |

Gal logi Looks great bumblebees FTW! and with so many shield stacked caldari scuttling around the place I can lob flux's about without a care in the world and with the popularity of shield tanking I predict allot of people specing into scrambler rifles. Only weapon I am dreading is the flaylock a pistol with more splash damage than my proto MD that sounds balanced lol. |

I'm loving my Minmatar Assault suit. Running with just a militia Shield Regulator and Armour Repairer means I'm back in the fight in a couple of seconds. Coupled with a militia Shield Extender and Recharger plus a damage mod for my AR?
Yes, please.
Now I just need to get more SP in core skills and Weapons, and then bide my time for my Winmatar fatty. |

both my eve and dust main char (not this one) are pure minmatar, and when i SP'ed minmatar medium assault i didnt regret it, because i often needed that passive heal and lived off of compact nanohives and supply depots in the last build because i didnt fit a armor rep, plus the fact they are shield and speed- that was exactly the assault i was running last build..
i couldn't have fell into minmatar any better. when i first read about them on EVE character creation i was like, i want minmatar for sure, before even knowing they were back then the prefered PvP choice..
the Minmatar dropsuit bonuses happen to perfectly fit my mercs playstyle, also a pure minmatar, being that in EVE explosive (nuclear) damage is of minmatar origin- packing a mass driver is even more fitting to playing a pure Minmatar
when i saw my armor repping i was very stoked because i thought that bonus only applied if you had the rep mod, i thought it just made the module more effective, but it is built into the suit. i am very pleased with minmatar bonuses, because I also fit a scrambler pistol. despite my MD nerfed i am pretty stoked from a faction warfare perspective- i am pure Minmatar. |

Amar logi
Due to having a side arm, 3 high, 3 low and decent balance of shield and armor provides maximum adaptability on top of passive armor module repair increase for survivability.
My only arguement is the lower pg and cpu compaired to other logis is a good balance to these advantages, but can turn to a huge dissadvantage depending on your skills for passives and high tier squad support can be lacking.
Overall, quite happy my battle logi can withstand two to three enemies worth of incoming fire and live. |

Min. caught my eye with the passive armor rep and the proto having 5 highs and more pg and CPU then cal and gal plus the speed bonus.
I also have my sver logi suit so this would help easily specing into it unlike my raven suit (which looks badass by the way). |

Amarr Medium and Heavy frames proto variants because of the colors and style. Though I must admit, somewhat shamefully as an Eve pilot who has fought these guys for most of my capsuleer career in FW, I really like the aesthetics of the Gallente Assault suits. Feels traitorous to put it on though. |
