I noticed that after Chromosome there are now two black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.
I tried a lot of things to fix it, but I found a way. I don't know if its just on Samsung TV's or other TV's as well, but in picture options make sure to set the screen size to 16:9. If you do screen fit like I did it shows me the black bars. |

I think that might either be cutting the picture where the black bars begin there by also cutting the sides or its stretching the picture so that everyone looks like they dropped few pounds in weight... or got taller. |

Meh, I prefer for it to fit exactly than to have black bars. |

You can also somewhat improve the issue by changing the "screen size" setting in the Options menu. Under "display" I think. |

I just bug reported it in the technical support section of the forum. Reason being is that the black bars are not in the b-roll footage, you can tell because the camera 'brackets' currently touch the top and bottom of the black bars, but they're more centered in the video I just linked.
So Uprising seems to run fine without them and switching to 16:10 to fix it, which cuts off the edges off your screen is just as annoying as the black bars.

it might be because you dont have an hd cable in with it set to 10801 or 720 |

It seems they changed the aspect ratio of the game. I don't know if it's a bug or intended. Setting your TV to fit-to-screen will crop the sides and fill-screen will stretch the image. I don't recommend doing this. |

I have the letterbox view too, My PS3 is hooked up to a LCD PC monitor and my display setting in the xmb is set to 16:9. Running the game at 1280x720 so all my settings should be correct. I think its intentional in order to provide a wider picture in the battlefield perhaps?. |

Doing letterbox view to enhance our field of view is just silly and a hackjob way of doing things. |

I was just about to post on this.... wider fov is nice but even with a 27 inch monitor I feel like I'm looking in a tunnel. Especially scoped with the burst or tac. Coupled with the terrible controls it is almost unbearable.
Can ccp send an email blast to all of us when fixed so we know when to come back? ;) |

You can see the difference with this image, on the left is Uprising without any black borders and on the right is Uprising with black borders. You can check with the HUD that both images are in scale with each other and are not distorted.
So clearly Uprising seems to run without the need for these black borders. |
