Remove all of it's killing power. All of it, take out the turret, fiddle with it's speed or something to make it unable to run people over. Then its toughness will be justifiable. It's easier to kill a tank than one of these.

I'm going to re-iterate what aload of people have already said. Cap is x2 Sp from battles is as follows: Sp from time in battle=same Sp from warpoints=x2 So it's extra, not a huge amount but it's nifty.

Well, I'm usually on the swarm end of it, but when ever I've launched a volley the driver seemed to be able to tell what direction I was pretty quickly. And I haven't noticed my swarms going through anything.
