My philosophy is to work on survivability first. Even with militia equipment, you're helpful and the longer you're alive, the longer you're helpful to the team. Work on core skills that increase your HP and your fitting capability first, IMO.

I've had this problem I a lot. I finally figured out what worked for me. I have the Bluetooth remote, and when it was on dropship thrust didn't work. As soon as I turned it off, it started working. Make sure you have no other Bluetooth controllers...
