The point of objective based play is that the play is won or lost based on the objectives. In skirmish the objectives are the letters... The MCC are really just health bars showing how much total capture time each team has taken.

imo - Dying should count towards your k/d, even if you're revived. Revives are to protect -> the squad life, so you don't respawn, and the clone limit to the game. So basically it's working as intended.
