Let them at least have control of him immediately as he spawns. I've notice that players spawn on the map, the player is not in immediate control of the character. I've been on both sides, killing someone when they spawn but they don't react, and ...

I'm assuming you're on a DS3. If so, you actually want to turn X- and Y- sensitivity down to zero get quicker turning. Don't ask me why its like this, though.
