Breach SMG or Magsec (post Hotfix) with two Complex Sidearm mods for dealing infantry beyond vanilla HMG range or if you have a Forge Gun and are too close to use it. Bolt Pistol on a Forge suit for dealing with Scouts coming after you.

I'll second Cross's recommendations. Upgrading the core skills means you'll get, once maxed, 25% more armour and shields to any and all suits used, including your free starter fits. Other core skills affect your CPU and PG, making it easier to fit...

Nice fit. I'll be sure to watch my back. I've been using the Forge more than the HMG lately. Been able to hit sprinting Assaults and Sentinels at 130m. I really should use the HMG more, but it feels like it gets out performed by light weapons now.

Dispersion definitely needs fixing. Like yesterday. And a rename to Breach HMG, so it' makes sense. The base HMG can be the actual Assault variant (high ROF, low damage per shot, short range)
